  6. Hi there, I was just wondering why it was such a big deal this lady wants to have a home show. If she feels she has a good product isn't that the way to get your candles out there???? I say go for your home show. I have been making candles for about 9 months now and I feel I have an excellent candle. I sell my candles already and have had a home show plus more to come. The comment just sounded a little cut throat to me. Just wanted to send some encouragment, go for your show!! That is the only way you can get feed back from your clients.
  7. Coppercreekinc's General Store this is where I got my pot!! it is awesome it made life so much easier. It was worth every penny!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8232812645&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT that is a link so you can view one, I hope the link works good lucK!!!
  8. Has anyone ever used this wax from candles and supplies if so could you give me your opinion on it? Production Single-Pour Container WaxThis is our new favorite (and recommended) wax for container candles! It's smooth and creamy, one pour, colors nicely, burns evenly, throws scent well and is priced right. I poured it at all different temperatures and it could not make an ugly candle no matter what I did with it. It is a vegetable/paraffin blend and adheres to the jar very well with little or no wet spots. The best choice for wicks is Heinz CD, zinc core, or paper core. The other wax I had a question on was the JS 123 SINGLE POUR YOU WANTED IT - YOU ASKED FOR IT - JUST SCENT HAS IT! THE "OLD" 123 Single Pour YOU ALL KNEW AND LOVED!!! Just Scent 123 Single Pour Super Soft Container Blend This wax is for containers only and will not release from molds! Ready to wrap in about 3 hours! Burns slower - your candles are more fragrant! Little to no shrinkage! Nice creamy-opaque color! Everyone LOVES this wax! Higher scent retention! This single pour container wax is very porous and allows the scent to escape. Comes in slabs - soft - easy to work with! any advice you could give would be much appreciated. heidi
  9. I Checked The Site And The Candle Is Called Pink Sugar Now!! I Am So Excited!!!! Thank You!!
  10. Thank You Much For Your Help!!! She Cave Me The Candle Container That She Had And The Bottom Sticker Says Mood/sweet Craving. So I Will Investigate Further. I Have Pink Sugar But Havn't Poured It Yet. I Will Go Smell And See If It Is Close. Thank You For Responding!!
  11. hi, i had a request from a customer to reproduce Victoria Secrets scent called sweet craving from their mood line. have any of you ever seen it out there for us to purchase the oil. Thanks
  12. Hem06, this is the link for the jars http://shop.candlesandsupplies.com/candles/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=Candles&category%5Fname=Other+Jars&product%5Fid=BEEJ%2DS I think they are really cute. never used them. I think wicking is going to be a problem so I think I am going to use them for wickless candles and sell them with a candle warmer. I may try wicking one and see how it does. Let me know if you get them and what your results are. Heidi
  13. Thank you so much!! It is all clear now and I finally understand!!!! I was playing a guessing game before, but now I know the proper way!! I am excited I can't wait to use my math!!
  14. Hi, Has anyone used this jar???? It is so cute and I ordered it today. My question is what wick to use? Here are the specs: Description: The smaller 12 oz. size measures 4 1/4" W at the base, 2 1/2" W at the neck and 4 1/2" high. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions due to the size change. I have been using 51-32-18 on my jelly jars. Think this would work??
  15. I think I understand now and I have been doing it all wrong!!!! Thank you both for your input and formulas, Now in the formula .55 is oz of FO and the amount for wax is 10.45 oz of wax so to make one candle i would weigh out 10.45 oz of wax and melt down then add .55 oz of fo and that is all weighed measurements. Correct?? Please let me know I just want to understand the math so I am getting great smelling candles!! Heidi
  16. Hi, I have been testing this wax also and found that mine are concave in the morning also only in my quart jars, my jelly jars are fine. I don't get it. I have been pouring around 160. I havn't burned any yet. Have you?? How was the hot scent throw. I wanted to get more but they are sold out. So I have been looking for a wax to get just to play with any suggestions?? Heidi
  17. I am new also and saw this post. I was wondering what you used to weigh your oils? I have been using actual tablespoons. I have also been confused about fragrance loads. can anyone explain this a bit more? 6% 9% ect... Thanks Heidi
  18. You use 1 0z of FO per JJ or is that per pound when you are melting down to make your candles? Heidi
