  1. I am aware that that happens on many sites, howerer, that was not the case in this situation, I called them to dicuss the issue. The items had been in my for a day or two with no changes. They made a corporate decision to discontinue the 4 ounce size of mica. and remove everything from their site and take a few days to relist each mica in the 3 ounce size; at a much higher cost. I don't have a problem with this, it is there merchandise and they can charge whatever they decide to, I just feel that they were less than transparent in the way it was handled. They were good about communicating with me, and I am sure they have great customer service, just left a bad feeling for me.
  2. I was on the site shopping, I may have left for a couple of minutes to check my email, but I normally just open another window in my browser, it was about a month ago. I know that it happened while I was shopping. I just thought that it could have been handled better than it was. The excuse for raising the prices didn't match my experience. I'm sure that others may be happy with this company, I'm not saying they aren't a good company, but as a consumer they lost my business.
  3. I have Sultana on my list along with Rose Jam, and a bunch of the Moonworks scents. I would love to have some feedback before I purchase. I have winter festival, native princess, sugar cookie royale, forest nymph, and sun & sand (yankee). I am debating the sugar cookie because I don't usually do food scents for soap. I figure if it is good it would make great tart melts.
  4. Mad Oils....They discontinued their 4 oz mica jars, and replaced them with 3oz that cost more than the original 4oz. My cart was full, and I planned to purchase that afternoon. My cart was emptied out, without an email, or anything, no longer available. I just don't buy their reason of our supplier raised the prices, since they were already selling what was in my cart. This left me less than pleased. They may be a great company, but I don't like the way this was handled, and for the short term do not plan on purchasing anything from them. I was mostly interested in the mica, the oils were not anything that I would be interested in.
  5. Has anyone soaped any of the Moonworks Dupes?
  6. Sorry Posted in Wrong Section
  7. Not offended at all, think you would really like these Soleseife bars, they are very different than the regular salt bar. Best was to see is make a small batch!
  8. Candybee, sorry if I wasn't clear, I am aware of the difference between the two. I made the Soleseife brine bar recently, that is what I was talking about, only mentioned the salt bars as a comparsion......
  9. i've made them and love them! I used a recipe similar to the one in the article, and they had a lot of bubbles right away ( during the first week of cure), I was a bit leary because the coconut in that recipe wasn't anywhere near the 80% of the average salt bar. I increased the super fat from 5% in the article to 7% and was worried about that being too little since my normal salt bar is 20%. I didn't find this drying at all, which really surprised me.So I would say this is a fun experiment, and something new and different.
  10. This manufacturer will make duplicatons, here is the contact information: Aromatic Fragrances International 85 Wansley Drive Cartersville, GA 30121 Phone: (770) 334-3906 Fax: (678) 623-0623 Online: www.afi-usa.com i haven't purchased any of their fragrance oils, or used their duplication service. I'm pretty sure this is who Fragrance Buddy uses. I have called them and asked about their bulk oils, but 10 lbs of each FO is a little much for my needs at this time.
