  1. anyone interested in testing
  2. I think I have a wax blend I'm sticking with How long should I get out of a 2oz cup
  3. thanks, I'm doing the testing in a hot plate style two piece warmer I'm mainly testing strength and longevity I'm wondering how others test
  4. I'm in the process of testing melts made in 2oz cups, can anyone tell me how they go about testing. What about room size maybe i'm expecting unrealistic results
  5. I don't believe it will mess it up. The candle will continue to cure whether it was lit or not,I think we have all done that at sometime

  7. 6 ounce tin 6006 wax No dye No Fo burned in 2.5 hour increments burned a total of 27 hours
  8. I'm fairly new also.after testing alot of wicks, I'm sticking with zincs for now
  9. thanks, its the curl I was referring to,I'll keep it going and see what happens
  10. but should you be able to see through the glass?
  11. thanks, I'm just trying to determine a realistic result. In the 8 ounce jelly jars with soy there is no soot but they are also not too clean as far as the wax residue,no hang up,just a messy residue. I will add though that they are quilted jelly jars
  12. quick question, how much residue should be left on the jar after burning, should it be clean?
  13. the one in the picture is only about halfway,I'm still testing it and it does seems to be clearing up a bit,I have a sample pack of HTP wicks coming this week
  14. Update: This is after the second 2.5 hour burn,I'm thinking already that it's overwicked, lots of puffing black smoke, actually caught some in the pic I do like how its keeping the side of the jar fairly clean which is the reason I went from Eco10 to Eco12,the other pic is one that I've had burning with an Eco10 and as you can see there is alot of wax being left on the side of the jar, Thoughts?
  15. your right,it is a jelly jar http://www.amazon.com/Ball-8-Ounce-Quilted-Crystal-Jelly/dp/B008586UJY/ref=pd_ybh_10
