  1. Thanks for the imput. We are a small DSA customer and have always been upfront with everything regarding how our products are made and how the need to cure so that is why we have a larger lead time. We have a number of different types of candles and scents and I've thought about scalling back so that maybe we could stock a bit but then you have the issue of people who really like the varitey we have to offer. You can never please everyone . I don't compare us to the larger companies out there and I hate when other people try to because we can not compare to what they can afford to offer or their huge warehouse of stock. But all companies started somewhere and they were not all huge companies in the beginning. I have been tossing around the idea of offering wholesale as well as our consultant program and have been reasearching how to set it up in a way that will fit our business. I have never had a customer complain about the shipping time of a product they purchased from me themselves and I believe that is because I'm upfront with them and explain how the products are made etc. I'm starting to believe that maybe the consultants that have complained about having customers with issues may not be explaining this in the right manner to their customers so I've started to try to train them more on it. To be offer the best quality product I can is the most important thing since so much of the products out their on the market (with just about everything these days) is massed produced and you really don't know what goes into it. But that is what is important to me and I know there are many that don't feel the same. It's a sticky spot because I want to grow my business but I don't want to give up my values of the company and I don't really have the room for stocking candles either.   2. Hello everyone, I just wanted to get some feedback on an issue our company is currently facing. We have been in business for 3 years now and have built a good strong customer and consultant base. All of our candles have always been hand poured and made to order so there is a 2 week lead time before the products ship. (I've worked with big companies and stock shelves in the past before and it can take 2 weeks to get products from them as well) We have also told our customers that they are truely receiving a candle that is made just for them. Recently we have been loosing a few consultants to "larger" companies that stock their products and can ship within a few days. The feedback is that their customers don't care about the hand poured candles they just want their orders and they want them fast. There is no way with the size of our company to stock our candles the only way we could do it is to offer VERY few scents. Do any of you have this issue with shipping times, is it really the customers or the sales people not sharing the importance of the candle cure times etc. Thanks for any insight or imput, we want our business to continue to grow and it seems things are really slow right now.
  3. Hi everyone, I'm looking for organic essential oils, but I'm looking for organic oils that are mixed to create a scent. I don't want just a lemon scent etc. Any idea's on a good place to shop with? I found one but the prices are way to high for our market. Thanks,
  4. Thanks for the tip, I'll have to see if there is one around me somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas for the galloon containers that have a larger opening. One supplier sends the containers with the handles and the smaller opening and another supplier sends the galloon containers with the larger opening on the top (I hope you understand what I mean LOL) Thanks!
  5. Hi everyone, Thanks in advance for any advice you can give. I've never had a problem with any of my gallon pumps except for my body lotion. It is packaged from the supplier in a 1 gallon container with the handle and you need a pump to be able to get the lotion out, no way to scoop it. My issue is that with the pump I purchased from the supplier and from another supplier for the container after about 8 or so 2oz containers it clogs, which is a pain when you are working on large orders. Do any of you have any advice on maybe were I might be able to find a more heavy duty pump or a way to keep them from clogging all the time? Thanks again, Vanilla:D
  6. Hi everyone, Do you feel that you need to secure insurance if you are using a premade body product bases and not altering it at all except to add scent? I've just been hearing so much about stuff lately and wanted to get some advice. I did a search but didn't find any topics relating to the premade body product bases and insurance. Thanks
  7. I guess I should have posted here and asked about the company first before purchasing from them, I would have saved myself a lot of time and stress. I'm happy to report that within an hour of posting here and sending a message saying REFUND MY ORDER I finally got a response, telling me about the Spam blockers etc. I don't know about all of you but I can review my spam folder and at any time and open emails in it. I have over 400 people in my company and I can answer an email, and phone call at any time and we are having records months this year. I'm just sorry that this happened and it appears to have happened to a number of people because you have some great sounding scents but I have to make sure I can supply orders to my customers and waiting weeks for a scent when supplies is needed is not going to make it easier to supply my customers. The sadest thing is for me is that I needed these scents to do my final scent list for my 2007 catalogs that need to get to the printer NOW and I'm not sure I can get supplies in and tested in time from another supplier. MY MISTAKE thinking that when you place an order at the beginning of November you should have it in hand by mid-November.
  8. Hi everyone, Have any of you purchased from Soap Silly Wholesale Supplies before? I made a purchase at the beginning of November for some samples, they have so really great sounding scents and I was very excited to try them. I've sent several messages regarding my order to the company and finally got a response last week saying they were shipped on the 13th of November.   13. I made the Pinapple Coconut Lime and LOVE THE SCENT. I used 10 reeds and a 8 oz glass bottle. The scent filled my entire family room, kitchen and sun room. I just recieved the Cucumber Melon and will be make it up today. It's really fast and easy and they work great so far. We plan to release ours in January.
  14. Hi, Yes it will. This shows they are independent parties reselling your products for a commission and that they are not entitled to any type of unemployement, federal taxes etc. If you have any other questions let me know!
  15. Our return policy is that if a product is defective a customer must return it within 14 days of receipt of the product. Since our products are hand made to order we do not accept any returns based on dislike of scent etc. We have had a few people state they couldn't smell a candle and we have asked for it to be returned and it's been fine on our end scented a whole room. We just kindly return it with a small free gift and let them know what we found. So far there has not been an issue.
