  1. Not sure if these would work as they aren't as shiny. And are they the right size? $.89 each when bought in dozen quantities. https://thecandlemakersstore.com/old-fashion-galvanized-jelly-jar-70mm-lid.html GoldieMN
  2. @Daisymay66 I use the PlasticPellets4Fun. Not sure if those are what Belinda uses. GoldieMN
  3. @Ashley D The ABSOLUTE longest-lasting fragrance for me is Fillmore's Nutmeg Ginger. I have one in my car that I put in there last September, and it still is giving off a good scent especially with the sun heating it up now. Could smell it as well throughout the winter with the heater on although not as strong as when the sun heats it. GoldieMN
  4. I just smelled a Cranberry Marmalade candle in a specialty shop in town and loved it. I may just have to order this from Candlescience. GoldieMN
  5. I relit this jar, poured over a year ago, and still very little hot throw. However, the original post was for melts. So I will use the rest of the bottle for clamshells. GoldieMN
  6. Remember, we were all giving you amounts of odor eliminator to use for what you showed in your first post--approximately 1 1/2 pounds of wax. If you are using a different amount of wax and you want 1% of that amount, the odor eliminator amount will change. GoldieMN
  7. @Trappeur OMG, don't EVER call yourself stupid! We all marvel at your creations, both from wax as well as wood! I'm the one with all the questions, usually. So what does that make me, stupider? lol GoldieMN
  8. Now @Trappeur, there is a decimal point showing in the picture you posted--between the 8 and the 9. You are not stupid. These calculations can be very confusing! Anyway, place a container on your scale, tare the scale so it weighs 0, now add a tiny bit of odor eliminator to the container until your scale reads .2 ; you are close to the 1% for the amount of wax you said you wanted to use (first post). Keep adding a teenie bit a little at a time to see if your scale will go to .25 or if it goes to .3. If .3, then we will talk. GoldieMN
  9. And .498 for 2%. Again, may round to .5 I'm really laughing out loud as we do this. GoldieMN
  10. Ok, so 1% of the odor eliminator for 1 lb. 8.9 oz. of wax ALONE would read .249 oz. on that scale. It may round to .25 or even .2 as I am not sure how many decimal places your scale will show. GoldieMN
  11. Do you see in the picture above on your scale the wax weights 1 lb. 8.9 oz.? When you get to 1 lb. 9.1 oz., you have added 1% of the odor eliminator to the wax. GoldieMN
  12. So @Trappeur, that is 1 lb. 9.1 oz. for 1% and 1 lb. 9.4 oz. for 2%. Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong! GoldieMN
  13. With the scale set as you have in the picture, I believe your scale will read: 1 lb. 9.1 oz. for 1% 1 lb. 9.4 oz. for 2% . This is what @jerry is saying as well. And @TallTayl came up with the same. Do you want what the scale would look like with just the odor eliminator alone? GoldieMN
  14. From what I can tell, buying the minimum of 1,000 jars from Alibaba costs $6 for each jar; that is without shipping. Some companies on Alibaba ship for free, but this one says to contact them for shipping costs. So Dream Vessel would be the same price; and not have to wait 55 days (Alibaba). If I put 12 jars in Dream Vessel shopping cart, it will cost me $65.42: $47.30 for jars, $18.42 for shipping. So around $5.45/jar. Forty eight jars, with shipping, would cost $4.80 each. You might contact them for wholesale pricing of a larger order. GoldieMN
  15. I wondered that too but checking Keystone's website, they state they bought the formulas from Peak: 'Q: I see you have Peak fragrances, are they original? A. Yes, We purchased remaining inventory and all the fragrance formulas in 2017. Some formulas may be revised due to the Citrol shortages, which is beyond our control. Revised formulas will be listed on the fragrance info page.' GoldieMN
  16. My problem is hot throw. I can get a decent one in the bottom half, but I need to figure things out in the top half of the jar. GoldieMN
  17. Rustic Escentuals' Apple & Pumpkin Strudel is my favorite apple scent, but I can't get it to throw for the last year or so. Tried with 464 as well as C-1 with a variety of wicks. If anyone has success using soy, I would be interested in what wick you used. GoldieMN
  18. I use to have black walls from burning paraffin candles. Haven't had any soot problems with soy, though. So I don't have an answer. GoldieMN
  19. Unfortunately, cashiers checks are often no good anymore (in this day of scams). If the bank takes in a fraudulent one then finds out it is no good, the person cashing it has to reimburse the bank. My son is a taxidermist and has gotten a number of bogus orders. Thank God his mother (wink) had heard of some of these scams and checked before he went any further. We both thought a cashiers check had to be good, but googled it and found the information. I guess getting a check, waiting for it to clear the bank, then sending product might work. By the way, quite often scammers will say they are in the hospital and can't do this or that but want to buy something. Or will say they will send extra money for you to hold something and will have another person pick up item(s). I don't know how this all works but all part of some scams. I'm only saying this in general so others will be aware, not that that is what is happening here. We just have to be smarter than the scammers. There has to be information out there with steps to take to make sure it isn't a scam. Good luck! GoldieMN
  20. Ha! I woke up during the night thinking about this--melt them down and try again. Thanks! Goldie
  21. So what do you do, second pours? GoldieMN
