    Thank you!! You’re awesome!

Well, she read my message but never responded so I'm guessing it's a moot point. I'm not quite sure what's going on. I know people have always had issues with her getting back to them by comments that have been made on here. I don't know why she won't respond. I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt though. Maybe just a lot going on but it would only take a second to say she hasn't had a chance yet. Oh well. If she answers me I'll let you know.

Hello Belinda- any news from Stacy?  Do you know when she will be taking any new orders?  Thank you so much for helping with contacting her!

She never got back with me so I just now messaged her on Facebook. I'll let you know what she says. I'm hoping she has some oils left she wants to bottle up.

I'm on the hunt for a good "Banana Nut Bread" fragrance oil. I have been using CS, but was looking for something that threw a bit more. TIA

I've used the one from Cajun and if I remember correctly it smells really nice. I ordered a bottle from Candle Wic recently and theirs is little heavy on the banana for me. I might have to mix some zucchini bread with it or some kind of nut scent to tone down the banana. If they're too heavy on banana they smell more like taffy to me than bread.

I've ordered a couple of oils from Keystone since they got Peak's oils and they were the same as the ones Peak carried. I would assume their banana nut bread would be the same also. I might have to get some from them.

I got the Flannel from NI and I'm not impressed. Can barely smell it OOB and in wax it isn't much either. :( I'm gonna order from Aztec and I'm hoping it's stronger.

I know this is an old thread but I've had requests for this scent. I think I got it from Aztec but have never smelled the original. @Lizzy, do you like the one from Aztec or did you find a better dupe? Thanks!

We are using 50% soy and 50% paraffin from JoAnn's. I will try the container wax idea out.

I'm not sure what paraffin Joann's has. Maybe try some 4625 from one of the candle supply stores? Or if you want a para/soy blend you can get tart waxes from several suppliers that's already mixed. Flaming, Virginia, WSP, all carry a para/soy tart wax that's granular and easy to use. It will ripple on you if it's poured too hot though but it's an easy fix. Like NightLight said, you defiantly need a thermometer.

  6. What wax are you using? I've had waxes do that before or have ripples in it and if I add a small amount of container wax it will smooth it out and also like everyone else said pour a little cooler. I'd also do like TallTayl said and hit the top with a heat gun and see if that will melt it just enough to fill in the sink hole.

  7. I sent Stacy a message about her oils and she's had a lot going on she said but would have help in a few days to bottle up what she has in stock. She wasn't interested in a co-op but said she would offer a "fast buy" every few months so people could stock up. I'm not quite sure what that is but I'm guessing just opening up and taking orders of certain oils maybe? Anyway, hopefully she'll be able to fully open back up soon. In the mean time be on the look out for fast buys and maybe we can all get what we need from DayStar. I sure hope so!

If we are not able to reach Daystar directly, I can see what our labs have that might be super close. Duping is tedious, so the lab wants a pretty high commitment to do it.

I would prefer if we could partner with DayStar during this stressful time and get the fragrances the forum membership needs. The process is pretty time consuming, so I totally get why she had to hit pause on the operation.hopefully things settle down for her soon. Sending big warm hugs to her from chilly N. IL.

She just messaged me back and said there's just a lot going on right now. She said her husband would be home in a few days and then she'd have someone to help her bottle up oils. I asked her about the co-op and she wasn't interested but would offer Fast Buys every few months so people can stock up. I'll post this in this thread so people can see it. I was sure hoping for a co-op.

    Thanks @Belinda.

don’t want to pressure her, but I’m happy to co-op for her.

I just sent her a message on Facebook about the oils and about a co-op. I hope she reads it and gets back with me. The last one I sent her was 6 days ago and it doesn't appear that she's read it yet.

co-ops can work in many different ways. The most common I work on:

    A) I manage the whole process. I collect interest in a fragrance and order a keg direct from the manufacturer with the original code on my account. I pay for everything directly. I bottle, ship, etc. This method works when the original owner trusts to share the codes, and wants to outsource the whole process.

B ) The original owner (DayStar) orders the fragrance and drop ships the keg to me. I pay (Daystar) for the keg and services, then handle the rest of the customer order process, bottle, ship, etc. This option works well for people who want to maintain their codes without sharing the details while outsourcing the most rigorous parts of the process.  They work in their profit, I am essentially a contract service provider for them making a % of the prices for my time and materials.

    C) - Similar to B, except they receive the keg, remove all identifying information from the packaging and re-ship the keg to me without opening it. This is the most secure for the original owner, but is more expensive for the participants per pound as we have to factor in double-shipping for heavy kegs.

I sign NDA, etc. as requsted.  Basically I am temporary contract labor.

I'll ask her if she's interested. That would be great if she is.  She was supposed to check her oil supply and bottle up what she has and get back with me but I haven't heard anything from her. I love her sweet pumpkin and Vanilla oils.

@Belinda Hey! Do you know what's happening with Day Star? The website is suspended and I purchase the Black Tea FO from there. If she is still able to sell me that FO I would love to get in contact.

I'll send her a message if you like.

I'm not sure what's going on with her. She said there was just too much going on right now but I didn't ask for details. I did ask her if she had some oils left and she said she did. i wanted to get some of her vanilla bean cookies and sweet pumpkin. She was supposed to message me back to let me know if she had those and I haven't heard back from her. I'll try again.

Probably my favorite scent of the last two autumns has been Pumpkin Peanut Brittle.  I've tried FB, Community and Aztec.  They're all really similar and all excellent.  A really nice, warm scent, not sweet, a little salty.  Very cozy.  (edit: oops, I see from your post in 2020 that you're already a fan of this one.)

I'm burning Northwoods' Pumpkin & Suede right now for the first time.  It's really nice.  Very similar to JS Pumpkin Firewood, but a little richer.

Have you tried their "Pumpkin"?  I recently got some, and I think I like it, but I'm still testing it.  Not sure it really smells like pumpkin, but it's one of the few I've found that doesn't have a ton of spice.

I haven't tried that one. Does it smell more like pumpkin pie?

  14. Reviving this thread.

Anyone found any new pumpkin or Fall scents they'd like to share? I just placed an order from FB and got one of their new ones for Fall.

I also love Harvest Pumpkin from Cierra

I have her Spiced Pumpkin and Oat Milk and it smells good OOB but haven't put it in wax yet.

Toasted pumpkin spice from Midwest is good as well as their pumpkin souffle and pumpkin caramel crunch.

Wellington has a good one, Spiced Pumpkin and I also got some pumpkin pie paradise from them which is a dupe. I haven't put that one in wax yet but Spiced Pumpkin (which is a Yankee dupe) is good.

  15. I haven't tried them but I see several new companies popping up in some of the groups I'm in like them and Little Bee's scents and a couple more. Their prices are way above most suppliers. I find it hard to believe that they could be any better than some other suppliers with decent prices. It reminds me of some of WSP oils and I find it hard to think they're worth the price. But who knows. I guess I'm just not wiling to put out the money to try them.

  16. They were the first company I ordered from and I haven't ordered much from them over the years after finding several other suppliers, but I had a sample of spiced pumpkin Yankee dupe from them and I finally put it in wax the other day and I have to say I'm very impressed. I remember their pumpkin crunch cake was good, lemon pound cake too but their marshmallow was weak. Anyway, I'm thinking of ordering some of their pumpkin oils for the Fall just to check them out again.

Here we go again.  I have someone asking for a mahogany scent.  Has anyone tried Fillmore's Mahogany Teakwood?  Or is there another company you would recommend?  I mention Fillmore because I have to order from them anyway.  I hate men's cologne fragrances so have steered away from mahogany.  I use C1 soy wax although this customer wants aroma bead ornies made up with the fragrance.

    GoldieMN

I use this fragrance in aroma beads and they all smell the same to me no matter where  get it. I've used the one from Midwest Fragrance Co., Flaming, Stay Fresh With Peanut, Nature's Fragrance & Cierra. I don't care for men's cologne scents either but this one is popular.e

  19. Two fragrances I've recently noticed smell identical are RE's southern pecan pie and Just Scent's Snickerdoodle. If they aren't the same exact they are so close it's hard to tell them apart.

Also, Midwest Fragrance Co. Cedar Musk & Lavender is the same as other suppliers Mahogany Teakwood.
