These are 16 oz square mason jars from Aztec...I just love this jar. The candles that are painted have 3 coats of paint in kiwi and orange. I used the Valspar paint from Lowes, picked the color swatch I wanted and had them make the colors and I used the sponge brushes to apply. The recipe is 1 jar of the Valspar paint (in the small oval jars), 1/4 Cup of

plaster of paris and a few drops of hot water...that is it. The clear mason jar is what the other 3 looked like before painted. I took a piece of sandpaper and scratched the paint off in several places so that candlelight would show through as it burns down. Tied raffia from Nashville Wraps around tops. I love how these turned out! :)

Thank you Vicky! They were a lot of fun to make. I forgot to say I did use a sealant once they had dried after the 3rd layer of paint. You need to try them! These would even be awesome w/one of those fake flickering tea lights...that way you could put outside on Halloween night or tuck in a darker corner of the house. :)
