  1. I've seen a few places online where you can make your own scent booster like the unstoppables. They use epsom salt and essential oils. Have any of you tried doing this? How well did it work? Have you tried using fragrance oils instead of essential oils? Any input would be appreciated. I'm looking into making my own for my own use, not to sell. Thanks
  2. Have you tried any local printing companies in your area? I use a local one and went in with my logo, designed how I wanted the layout, colors, fonts, etc and the size and shape of the label. Going off memory (with the amount I order each time) they come out to be about 7 cents each. Anyway just a thought I figured to throw out there as you won't have shipping charges and you can design the label in person. Saving the shipping costs might make it more affordable.
  3. I've had it happen from time to time. Maybe out of a case of 875 I'll get one or two that do it. They've always leaked though as soon as I poured so I was able to just pick it up quickly and pour into another mold. The ones that have done that I'll inspect and find a tiny little pin hole.
  4. I've never ordered from her but have been tempted a few times. Like Sliver said she has some cool and unique things, but, reading others issues with her in the past has kept me from giving her a try. Good luck! Be sure to let us know how it finally turns out.
  5. I agree with everyone as well. With friends like that who needs enemies, cut her loose and don't look back. Maybe one day she'll realize what she did and that she lost a friend because of it. Then again so many people live in their own little worlds that are all about them no matter how unfair or rediculous they may be. Good luck to you!
  6. I came across some candles recently. One they did the normal soy vs parrafin thing that has been debated many times on here, had the triple scent claim and claimed a burn time that I just can't imagine from the size candle it was. They looked horrible, crusty, flaky tops and had some odd kinda thing going on in the candle itself. It looked like no candle I've ever seen. It looked solid, then looked like it was liquidy with all kinds of odd looking bubbles, then solid again. I've seen come crusty tops before but never like this. I wouldn't even give these away let alone sell them. But to each his own I guess. Anyway the main purpose of posting is that they had smelly jelly lids on them (with no other covering under the lid) so the CT was pretty weak. I suppose from having no protection from air letting the scent weaken over time. That wasn't the problem though, they called these fire safe lids and were saying you could burn them with these lids on. :shocked2:I've never heard that or seen any other candles have something like this. My first reaction was fire hazard and lawsuit waiting to happen. I can only imagine how hot that lid would get escpecially on a power burn. Any thoughts on this fire safe lid?
  7. Those look great, good enough to eat!! Makes me want to go make some muffins to eat now. Great job!!
  8. The reed diffuser base I used from Taylored Concepts said the same thing. They also said and I've seen it on numerous other sites that DPG clogs the reeds so you want to NOT use a base with DPG. That's my understanding. They weren't a huge seller around here.
  9. Very nice pics. Your pics always look so inviting and professional. Good luck, hope you make tons of sales!
  10. My first thought was coffee also. Saturday's around here are sleep till the cat tells me it's time to eat unless we have something to do that I have to get up for. Sunday's are more the breakfast cooking thing, atleast at my house.
  11. You might check out obiwholesale.com also. I think that's where vista gets alot of their warmers from or they get them from the same place as obi. Obi is a little bit cheaper on their prices though and also dropship. You have to sign up with them (you have to have a tax ID number) and if I remember correctly it's either $100 or $150 minimum order. You can get them by the case which makes them a little cheaper as well as opposed to getting 1 or 2 in a particular style. Something to look into when you get your business up and running for selling. And to answer your question it's pretty much what Sliver said. Sometimes you can't get double your cost, but, you do need to consider what you spent shipping and all.
  12. The sale isn't over until April 3rd so you still have time to get in an order. Atleast get some savings on some that you've used and possibly might need more of.
  13. I believe Candlemakers Store has them as well. They also have the sachet envelopes in Kraft and white colored.
  14. Thanks. Yes they can be a pain trying not to overfill or spill while pouring. The first 2 are silicone molds and the others are plastic. The plastic ones are more of a pain due to them not being as deep as the silicone ones. I wanted to do something different than the usual clamshell and the fluted style. I do alot of the clamshells but everyone seems to really like these as well. And Jeanie yes I hope my boys play like they did in the second half against Florida. It'd be nice to send Big Blue Nation home with a big fat L.... lol We need to stay outta foul trouble for sure.
