  1. Okay, I received an email wishing me a happy birthday??? I thought this forum was shut down so I deleted it out of my bookmarks??? Wsup w that? Obviously I missed something eh? On a bright nite I'm happy to see it up and running again.
  2. Yes lol it's a home fragrance only line from bath and bodyworks A yummy coconut fragrance! Heavenly for a coconut lover like myself!
  3. Anyone have a dupe for this new fragrance? Is beyond divine ;0)
  4. Sweet sent you an email
  5. Anyone interested in sharing a pound of the patchouli prebuy from MW with me? I really do not need all of that FO. I need to make like 60 tarts for my aunt. I don't care for that particular scent, but its cheaper to buy it that way. Let me know. Thanks.
  6. How about Webkins? They have all kinda of different animals that you could try out. Or the stuffed bears. Or have you already done that?
  7. No you do not have to drill any holes into it, only if you want it to have a pour spout on it. All you have to do is get out your hammer and chop the wax up! That is the hardest part of the presto pot method of melting wax. You put however much you want into it,( I seem to be able to do half of the slab) let it melt and volia! Then you can either scent the whole thing if you want to make a very large batch, or ladle it into the $5 container that you bought from the craft store and add your fragrance and coloring. Think of your melted pot of wax as a base..then you can just separate it into however many fragrances and colors you want. No need to keep watching and waiting and restarting the whole melting process. Been there done that and let me tell you its not that fun after a while. It truthfully will save you so much time and energy.
  8. Save yourself loads and loads of time and buy a presto pot at Wallyworld! They really are not that expensive for the amount of time that they will save you. Like 20 bucks. I used to do that whole double boiling thing too, and its just way to time consuming. A presto pot will melt the wax in about 10-20 minutes, it has a temp gauge, and you dont have to worry about water getting into your wax.
  9. Just thought I would chime in here on behalf of the YCC. This in no way is meant to be rude or snarky so please do not take it that way. I am not their spokesperson or PR manager or anything of the sort. Yankee was started by a guy just like you and me. He worked hard and his company went global. With that being said the reason that you pick up an jar and do not get a great cold throw, is because they put a thin unscented layer of wax on the top of their jars to keep the fo from for lack of a better term escaping. If you ever go into a Yankee store, we meaning ME the sales associate will always offer you the lid of the jar to smell to get a true sense of the candle fragrance that you are purchasing. I have never came across a single candle in my entire life that has never had a soot or some type of mushroom problem. They sell illuma lids that actually help capture the soot, and improve the burn quality of the candle. Whoever created that was a genius and they truely do work. Its true that the candles are quite expensive, but smart girls and guys use coupons!!!!!! Which are free or can be obtained by going to their website. The best thing about YCC is that they have 100% guarantee. If for some reason you do not like the candle, you can return it at any time whether you burn it for 1hr or you burn it for 100hrs.
  10. Single...not that much actually. I don't care for the smell of pat. I'm just making some tarts for my aunts friend in VT. A couple of ounces is really all I need, if you can help me out that would be fantastic!
  11. Darn it Moonworks is sold out of the pat!!!!! Crap, crap and triple crap! That one seems to be the favorite one.
  12. Thanks everyone for your help
  13. I don't think you will have any trouble getting anyone to test them for you. Why do you think they turned you turned down? I love a good tart! It has to have an awesome throw, and come out of a burner with ease. And it has to be inexpensive. Good luck!
  14. Can anyone please suggest a patcholi f.o. that they like and use? My aunt has requested some tarts. Personally I cannot stand the smell of it, but I love my auntie so I will make the sacrafice:cheesy2:. i went through some old posts, but they were several years ago. Thank you so much for your help.
