  1. This is funny I got the same one back on Nov. 17th from Christie Amato (PA) see below..... Hi there. My name is Christie Amato and I am a consumer that is making approximately 50 beauty and bath gift baskets for Christmas gifts this year. I'd like to put products in the baskets that I stand behind and that I have sampled myself and think they are great! Is there any way that you would be able to send me a small sample of what your best products are before I decide to purchase anything? I'd be happy to pay for the shipping, if that makes things any easier for you. Thanks in advance and have a great day-Christie Amato (PA) My response to this ??? See below..... Hi Christie, I would love to send you some samples to try out, however we do not give free product out. You are more then welcome to purchase something small like tealights or votives to sample yourself off of our website. I'm very sorry but I am not in the charity business, you wouldn't walk into Walmart and ask if you could sample some of their products off the shelfs before you purchased them and expect them to say yes. So then I receive this email back....... Thanks for your response, but I do like to sample something before I make the committment to buy a large quantity. My goal is not be thought of as a charity type thing. And my response to this........ Hi Christie, I understand that you aren't looking for a charity type of thing, but even as a business owner myself when I am looking for other items to put into our gift baskets that we sell, I buy samples from other wholesalers. That is just the respectful thing to do. I do not expect them for free, especially from a small business who hand makes everything. You should try Yankee Candle. They might send you some free samples. Thanks for your time. She must be pretty stupid because she responded to this that she was going to try them. :rolleyes2
  2. I have a Blazer and my mom has a Volvo station wagon. These two just about hold everything. Sometimes we have to make a second trip
  3. yeah I would do the same. I am actually getting married on May 10 and I am making all of my own favors. I am just doing plain old white votives, some scented Cotton Blossom and some scented Lick me all over, wrapping them in white tull and tieing them with satin black ribbon and printing my own tags. The girls dresses are black and white. so those are my 'colors' I guess. I could have went brighter to match the flowers (hot pink, fire engine red and bright orange gerbera daises with those bright green button mums) but that's too much work hahaha!
  4. oh wow that sucks. You are doing the right thing. Go with your gut. Imagine what it would be like if it was your card and identity, you would want the same thing right?
  5. Sounds like a good idea, count me in .... I can think off 5 people of the top of my head right now. that's got to count for what like 10 people under them. Holy Crap before long we'll be independently wealthy NICE!:highfive:
  6. it is getting to expensive. It's a shame. I raised my prices last year because of the increase and already I'm finding that I may need to raise them again. I am scared that a lot of the wholesalers are going to start going where it's the cheapest instead of looking for quality anymore.
  7. whay type of wax are you using? what temp are you pouring at?
  8. To be honest with you for me we do mostly sales at craft shows. Online hasn't really 'taken off' just yet to where i would like it to. Every show is different for us. One show we may sell more 8 ounces than anything else, sometimes it's crocks, sometimes it's votives and melts. Depends on the crowd. Also, every year is different too, with scents especially. One year a big seller will be apple jack the next year at the same show it's pumpkin pie. It happens, I just try to make sure I have enough of each!
  9. OH MY GOD! I think I would wreck my car if I did that!!!:lipsrseal
  10. I checked your site and I don't see it yet. Let us know!
  11. Oh my goodness. I feel so bad for you. What is wrong with people? Seriously. and that poor lady. Your booth looks very nice at least. Hopefully next year if you do the show again, she won't be there!
  12. Kinda off topic, but I need some help. I'm looking for a small business who wholesales tea. I want to start working on some custom gift baskets, but I don't think I go to Walmart and buy boxes of tea off the shelf and resell them in a basket. Correct me if I'm wrong please. I keep doing searches on google and all I can find is imported stuff. I'd rather support my fellow craftsmen by buying from them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
