You are using my favorite wick bars. I really love them, BUT you are not using them properly. There is a learning curve when you use this style of wick bar. I noticed that you do not have them centered properly. The key is for them to sit on the jar centered. They must be centered before you lock the wick in place to hold it taunt.The "stairsteps" on the ends of the wickbar helps with this on SOME jars. These are not great on all jars (as they may not actually fit properly) and can prove to be more of a problem than they are helpful. The key is to hold your hand in a manner that holds the bar in place while you "lock" the wick. It should be taunt enough that there is no slack in the wick. Once you do it several times it gets easy. Have fun! Looks like you are off to a good start!

Seems to me like whatever you decided to put in them would be great scented with tropical fragrances.

I can hardly believe you even found it! I have no clue when it comes to this stuff...bandwidth etc. I do understand that snagging a pic is wrong but honestly I swear I wouldn't have given it a second thought had I not been educated about it HERE....with all the conversation about it. Could be they just don't know any better?

You could always add a little paraffin to it, ya know.

Vanilla Sandalwood (BnL) Vanilla Grapefruit (WYW) Cedar and Saffron (BCN) Hibiscus and Thai Palm (WYW) Bamboo (WYW) Campfire Smoke (BCN) Sugar Cane (BCN) Lime Leaf and Lily (BCN) Basil Sage Mint (BCN) Fresh Linen (WYW) Fig Pudding (WYW) Peppercorn (BnL) Sage and Citrus (WYW) Their Angel and Baby Powder both are excellent, good quality FOs if you like either of those fragrances. I am not too crazy for them personally, but I have tested them and they throw very well.

Amber, Sandalwood and Patchouli blend with just a TINY touch of Vanilla&Rose ( I have used Jasmine instead of the rose and like it almost as much)

The Tyler DIVA candles seems to be a good seller. Does anyone know which oil this is? I have not seen one with that name. I love Tyler candles for the throw. They burn hot, but those babies throw like a raped ape (as grumpy girl says)

Susan, I use the HM from Starrville and absolutely love it. It is one of my favorite fragrances, and I find it dead on for the Tyler HM candle. They run out from time to time and you have to wait until they order or have them special order for you with a minimum. ( Sorry, I can't remember how many #'s the minimum is) I checked out their site for you and it came up this morning....but there were challenges with the scent link STILL. Anyway...I have several pounds of High Main, and would be happy to share with you until you can get yours in if you need it now. Let me know. I wouldn't make this offer for just anyone:D

I think mistakes happen and I wouldn't be too quick to think that a supplier is using the ol "thumb on the scale" trick when weighing out the oils. They have too much to lose and so little to gain by short changing a little oil on purpose. I know many of them are anal about weighing it exactly to the purchased weight and not filling a drop over.....but if you have hundreds or thousands of customers and you give away .5 an oz of oil in every bottle filled, I guess it would add up to a lot of money lost....unless you see it from the perspective that every customer will know and appreciate the added oil and make them loyal customers until the dying end, which I doubt. I do not weigh the oils I get in but when I was ordering everything in Lbs., I could look at the container and see if it was filled to the same place each time. Nearly all of the suppliers state that oils are sold by weight and they are all different. I have often wondered if it took more staff time ($) to weigh it exactly as opposed to just filling them up and moving on with the next order to be filled. I would think that a seasoned staff member could probably weigh out the oils fairly fast, whereas one with less experience might take awhile AND make some mistakes. I guess I am saying my thought on this would be to give them the benefit of the doubt. I am either hopelessly optimistic or totally gullible, but I just can't imagine any reputable supplier doing this on purpose.

Actually...I never did well in Science...I was usually drawing/doodling. I am grateful however there were and are people that actually "get it". We would be in sad shape without them. I absolutely LOVE it, Top, that you always manage to get that word "shortening" in there. THAT, I can understand! Being raised around oil fields, we have always believed oil is a "natural" product from mother earth....and it paid the bills. (and warmed our asses...and allowed us to run our cars up and down Main street cruising every night) We LOVED it! Smelled like money back in the days...and smells like money now.....sure makes a nice pretty candle for us doodlers.

I would suggest ,if you get lucky and find some of what you are looking for, you send it to a manufacturer and have it duplicated. If not, you will be going through this the next time all over again right?
