    Hello,
    I am a beginner at candle making. I love candles and thought it would be a good hobby and I was right!! I still have a lot to learn but I have been experiementing and having fun doing it.

    Hello all, I am new to this site and new to candle making.I find this site to be very informative and helpful to me. I have made some candles with good results but I seem to be having problems with my wicks. I use a wax melting machine. I use glass containers from 3 to 5 inches tall with medium wicks. So far, the wax I have used is the wax used for glass containers. I add liquid scents and solid coloring. After you light the candle and put it out, the wicks are useless. They either burn at the surface and you have to dig in the wax to find the wick or the wick does not relight. What am I doing wrong?
