  1. I line my counter area with wet paper towels or newspaper and I use the dryer sheets. If any jump out they stick to the wet paper. I just fold it up and throw it out in a safe place when I am done. Works like a charm.
  2. I have used the blue plastic containers that lard comes in from Walmart. I also found a little plastic Pyrex style bowl at Big Lots that has a top and a mixer attachment on it for $3.99. It'll hold at least 3-4 lbs. I just pitched the mixer attachment. Edit to add: I also microwave both in short bursts until my hard oils melt.
  3. To eliminate smoking, extinguish candle with a wick dipper.
  4. Try this... http://www.snapfiles.com/get/mwsnap.html It is a free screen capture program. HTH
  5. Thanks guys! I will have to try the weight at the bottom. I just thought it would make it look too top heavy. Does that make sense? I think I will sleep on it a bit before I decide for sure. I'm too indecisive for this design stuff. :undecided Tammy, I got them from www.thesage.com . They are the size 2oz straight based frosted jars (size 58 black tops). It is very refreshing, minty with a strong undertone of lavender and a slight green note... hum..mix a tiny bit of Vick's with a little peppermint and lavender. I mixed it to match a commercial foot lotion that I use to buy. It's 4 parts lavender 3 parts peppermint 2 parts menthol crystal and 1 part eucalyptus EOs, if you want to try it. Straight OBB it is strong enough to clear your head but not super overpowering. A little will go a long way.
  6. Hi guys, I am trying to get my shea butter packaging worked out and I need your opinions. I just got my jars in finally and have been tweaking the labels. How do these look. Would you change anything? The one on the left is standard whipped shea. The one on the right is whipped shea with menthol, peppermint, lavender, and eucalyptus. These are 2oz jars and the listed weight is just a marker for now. I'm not sure yet how much will fit in the jars. Contact info, directions, and ingredients are on the backside. Opinions? TIA
  7. Yeah! I got a lip balm!! They look great cuz!
  8. That looks great Amy! Mmmmmm chocolate brownies! Hey...Buffy gets brownies...do I get bubble gum? <big, big o'l grin>
  9. It looks like it over heated. Most likely do to a finicky FO. Did it get lumpy like applesauce right after adding FO (if you used one)? I've had the same thing happen and I dumped everything including the floating oil into a bowl and microwave re-batched it. I say toss it in the crock pot. It should be fine then. Good Luck..and a prayer to keep the soap fairies at bay.
  10. Very Nice! How about... Cítrico del Sol (spanish for citrus of the sun)
  11. I made this for my 3 year old. It worked wonders. After 1 week she knew all the monsters were already gone and now will go to bed on her own and turn out the lights. My only suggestion is to scent it very, very light. She sprayed it everywhere and went through 8oz in that 1 week. Now for my other two we convinced them that monsters are afraid of flowers. There is something with a flower pattern in every room and we told them they will not enter any room that has even one tiny flower in it. Hey what ever works right.

  14. You can use it in about 3 days but it won't be quite as mild and it will not last as long as a bar that has cures 4-8 weeks.
