1. Personal story for me, my child was born with non-descent testicles. He had to go through surgery a few months after he was born. My doctor couldn't tell me 100% that phthalate was the reason for this but as I mother I couldn't take the reason...it just happens. I investigated and I was going to school to become an esthetician while I was pregnant and 90% of cosmetics, masks, creams and cleansers contained phthalate. I did research and phtalate is known to cause under developed reproductive systems. As a mother who has personally gone through this I will be using phtalate free FO.
2. Waiting is the worst. I have two candles I really want to light but I am making myself wait....LOL.
3. I didn't know where to add this as there are so many threads about 6006. I wanted to share that I got my order of 6006 and Eco wicks and poured my first set of candles. I have yet to light them...I may wait a few days as suggested...if I can contain myself. LOL. So far they set up with very minimal caving on top (you can see a bit of the wax on the side but nothing a light pass with the heat gun won't fix). Here is what I did: Jars: 12 oz status (fill line 8.9 oz) Wax: 6006 Wicks: Eco 2 and Eco 8 Scent: Harvest Berry (CS) 6% Heate to 190 FO added at 185 Mixed about 2 1/1 minutes Poured at 160 Left in unheated oven to cure. I'll keep updating....
4. I"m looking forward to your results Dolphin146. I just ordered 6006 from CS and am excited to start working with it. I'm a bit tired of blending my own parasoy was and thought I would give this a try. If nothing else, I'll go back to my blend. : )
5. Good to hear they corrected it. I've had nothing but outstanding customer service from CS.
6. Great job! I don't which one is my fav.
7. Scentsy has "grab tabs" that you can use to empty warmers or change scents. They've had them for a few months but I've not tried them. I have no problem taking out my melts and to me it would just be a waste of money.
8. I'm doing the same thing now. I stopped selling a while ago and am just getting back and reformulating everything. Sound like you have things planned already and I like the "candle of the month" club. I'm still in the testing stages and don't even have a date yet. Good Luck to you!
9. Dolcibugie - Wow!!! that is some very creative work. I'm totally impressed.
10. I'm testing a few candles today. So far so good with one and not so good with the other.
11. Very pretty! The frosting wouldn't bother me at all.
12. I like them and the black on the candle is a bit lighter so you can still see the letters.
13. I vote CS. To me CS is more of an herbal type.
14. I wonder if it's the same one I ordered from The Scent Bean years ago. It was a really great scent and sold well.
15. I got lucky and was able to purchase my scale from a soap maker that was going out of business. She listed her items on craigslist. It's an older model, an Ahkida Nova and plugs into the wall. I've had it for years now and I love it. I don't know what I would do if it broke down.
