  1. Ok, I just re-read this and just wanted to correct. I did not use 464, I used a soy pillar wax. Too much scent to the brain while typing:rolleyes2
  2. Thanks for all the great comments!!!! I sell the melts for $1 each or 5 for $4, the votives for $2 each or 3 for $5, and the tealights for $.50 each. I have a bunch of different scents that they can pick from, so very rarely does someone buy just one, they usually go for the deal
  3. Sorry to say I just eyeball it. I do 10 votives at a time (since that's all the molds I have) and just fill so that it looks even for all of them. I do the same for the middle layer. They don't always turn out to be perfectly even, but at least next to each other, they are pretty close.
  4. Candy Corn from JS, votives, melts and tealight, made with 464. Have sold a ton of these the past couple weekends!
  5. The Harbor Freight in my town has heat guns on sale for $7.99! I'm sooooo tempted to go buy one, just so I have an extra! I'd be lost without my heat gun.
  6. They definitely remind me of the beach! Very nice!
  7. I really like the colors you have for the Hawaiian Paradise. Making chunk candles is so much fun! I bet they all smell great!
  8. Alabaster. It's one from their special priced list. I've gotten some other ones off that list too that have been good.
  9. Thanks everyone! Doing test burns don't seem as bad when you love the smell. And I love ginger amber! I'm doing my test burns now. With about 2 inches of candle to go, the CSN 14 and the CD 14 are doing the best so far.
  10. I zap them with my heat gun and then wipe out with paper towel.
  11. Hey Heidi! When I was in WI I ended up getting my wax from Peaks. I guess when I was looking at what you were thinking about carrying, I wasn't thinking specifically IGI, dumb moment I guess:o . The other suppliers in the area list their wax by the melting point, and don't state who they get it from. So I think you would be benefitial to southern WI/northern IL. I start looking around when I am going to make a trip up, or family is coming to visit me, just in case I want to experiment with some new wax or FOs. Good luck and let us all know what you decide! Leandra
  12. Start by checking the suppliers around your area, that way you can keep shipping down. I always end up checking with at least 5-10 different suppliers, comparing cost and shipping, before I buy molds. Good Luck! Leandra
  13. Many other small suppliers in that area of southern WI have high prices on many items. When I lived in WI (about 45 mi south of Milwaukee) I ordered all my supplies from Peak. Still do for most supplies. The cost plus shipping was still less than what the suppliers in WI were charging for most products. I live in southern Indiana now, but my parents are still in WI, so I still check prices of supplies there, for when I go up to visit, but haven't found any great deals yet. I would possibly buy wax if the price matched, or was better, than what I get here in Indiana. I wish you the best of luck if you decide to do it! Leandra
