  1. i get mine at the hardware store....i use pvc pipe with end caps lined with wax paper. I've only made 3 batches so far though...but i used a cardboard box lined with waxed paper for one of my batches. even though i haven't made much soap it's all been good for me so far.
  2. you could probably make the soap rocks by kneading the layers of colored soaps together while the soap is still soft....the same way you would make beads out of polymer clays. I suppose you could do it that way....anyone ever tried it that way?
  3. EGADS! You sure have plenty of fragrance oils...lol...seriously! *bows to the master*
  4. Do the brightly colored soaps sell well? Or do people tend to steer more towards 'natural' colored soaps? I was curious as to which sells most... -Osborne-
  5. Hello all you peepers...it's been quite some time since I last was here at candletech (doggone hurricane put me in a bind) but I'm back ready to learn more about making soap. I haven't made any soap since red devil stopped selling their lye over the counter...but I found lye! They have it at Lowes! YAY! My mom is wanting me to teach her what I know about soapmaking and is wanting to make it with me to sell. ($$cha-ching$$) I was all bummed out because the only place I could find lye was online...and it was too expensive for me. Thank goodness for Lowes...now I'm back in business. As soon as my next batch of soap is ready I'll post pics and info about it. Cross y'alls fingers for me? Laterz, all -Christy Osborne-
