FO favs are bakery, berries, fruits (the non-fuely ones), candies, nuts & sweet holiday spices! I also like the earthy, country type scents such as: rustic cabins, leaves, woodsy trails etc., as well as a few florals if they are not overpowering. Other favs are musky, masculine scents.
I don't care for most of the "aroma therapy" & herbal FOs that I've tried so far...but I do not do too much B&B either. :) I dislike patchouli and most sandalwoods, as well as the piney & most strong floral scen

  1. Hello to you Old Glory! =o) It's always nice to meet folks nearby. I've been a member here for years but it's been quite a while since I've had the time to visit CT. I've missed my friends here & it also looks like I've missed a lot of great sales! I MUST have been away longer than I thought because I see that my entire friends list has been deleted. :~( Ok...I'll just start over again...inviting you as first on my new list. ;o) Hope to talk to you / see more of you...here on the forums. (warm smile)
  2. Hi ladies, (& gents) I have a few questions: #1. Does anyone know...off the top of their head: What's considered "a good price" (or going rate) for the PET bottles these days? Including basic, black caps or similar...for 2, 4 & 8 oz sizes? I just ran out of a huge supply that I've had for years. #2. Do any of you have spare PETs for sale, at a good price, in various sizes? 4 oz'ers would probably be sufficient for now. I'm just in need of "mixer" bottles so the glass bottles are not necessary. Thanks a bunch!
  3. onlyfragrance.net http://www.onlyfragrance.net/ Does anyone know if this supplier is still in business? I've been trying to access their website but error msg states "ie cannot find/display the webpage".
  4. THANK you Megan. Which of the two would you say is the best and/or strongest FO? The Apple butter caramel or the Toffee apple crunch? I do have a sample here somewhere of the Hillbilly Homebrew. I'll have to pull that one and re-check it as I do not have it on my favs list. I'm usually in such a rush with orders though that I sometimes miss a few of the good ones on the first OOB sniff...then I'll go back and check them later when I hear a good review and remember that "Hey I have that one!" If an fo doesn't already have rave reviews or if it doesn't blow me away OOB then it's put to the side to check out later when I have more time....or else it's tossed into the "no-way"/"throw-away" bins. I'm not familiar with GC but on the Christmas Splendor I have the JS version (thrown in as a freebie here on the CT classys) and the "Brighter Scents" version. If you've tried either how do they compare with NG's ? Have you (or others reading this thread) tried Acorn Harvest? How about Antique Lace? I read somewhere that it's really good....but I strongly dis-like most florals... and almost all of the strong perfume types just make me gag. (LOVE the bakery, berry, fruity fos) Thanks again Megan. I look forward to your reply. :0)
  5. I have to place an order with Natures Garden and was wondering about a few FOs: Have any of you tried the Apple Butter Caramel from NG? If so, could I get your comments/reviews/opinions on this FO? What about the Toffee Apple Crunch and their Obsession type? Also can you recommend the best, kick-butt Fall FOs from NG? as well as their must-try Christmas fragrances? Thanks a bunch, in advance, to all who reply.
  6. I didn't get nearly the great results that Raven did. I suppose it might depend on your FOs, and your technique..??....but I tested the TCS wax against the KY parasoy (as well as my own blend) and KYs performed 10xs better! Using the same (Kick-butt strong!) oils, same percentages, same cure time etc. The tCS wax also pulled away from my glass containers... (wickless) but my tarts were extremely difficult to get out of the metal molds. I ended up having to put them in the freezer and still had to beat them on counter several times before they would release. The CT was almost non-existant while the HT was just "ok" The throw did seem to last a little longer than I had expected...like 3.5 hours on the strong fragrance side....but not at all what I had expected...or hoped for. I still have quite a bit left to play around with...if I decide to even try it again. Not sure why Raven gets such good results. Good luck with this one. I'm currently using my own kick-butt blend ...which performs beautifully everytime. =) If I can get better results from the CS wax later on I'll re-post them here. HTH
  7. Evidently so Scented...but thanks for checking. At least now I know it isn't just me who can't find them. ;0)
  8. Thanks to both of you for your help. I know they used to be in business as I'm looking at a bottle of their FO as I type...and I have several more. It's really odd that I can't even seem to find anything "cached" on them through google! ...nor do I have anything in my notes.
  9. No I dont think that guy was associated with Candle Supply Central but I DO know who you're talking about. I think his name was Bill or something like that. ? IDK for sure. Anyway...regarding CSC ....I seem to remember that their shipping was really high....and it also seems that they were listed online under another name...and/or another website *other than CSC. (?) Darn it! I SHOULD HAVE that info in my files/notes but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Just trying to find out if their FOs are still around (or maybe some very close dupes) since I'm almost out of several of theirs that I really liked.
  10. Hi all, Hopefully some of you will know: Has Candle Supply Central gone OOB (out of business)? I tried searching the board here but nothing came up regarding their closing. I have them down as CandleSupplyCentral.com but the link is for sale...so I'm assuming they're no longer in biz... unless under another/new name. If OOB, does anyone know if another supplier has picked up any their FOs? I just found a few scents that I'm terribly low on but I had no idea they were no longer around. Thanks a bunch.
  11. Thank you PAgirl ! You've been a great help! I'm off to google!
  12. Hi ladies (& gents), Hopefully some of you who have websites (and possibly scent list pages) can help me find what I'm looking for... which is Graphics/ clipart for a scent list page. I'm looking for photos to describe each of my fragrances. I'm thinking (hoping!) that surely there's a site that has a list of such photos rather than having to handpick each one. ? Maybe I'm typing the wrong thing into google but I cannot seem to find what I'm searching for ...other than looking up each photo one at a time. Any/all help would be greatly appreciated! Mt Annie
  13. Thanks Candlebuddy. Does the French apricot smell like a true apricot? I've tried several but haven't really cared for any of them so far.
  14. Thanks for your reply SouthernGrace. I've already gone through several lbs this season so I'm always looking for more. If you should have any extra at a good price please do LMK. It doesn't last very long around here! My best, Mt Annie
  15. Hello, =) I've been trying to find a few ozs of Snowy Pine by Farmhouse but I haven't yet had any replies to my request. . I may have to go ahead and purchase a bottle so could some of you recommend any must-haves from FH while I'm placing an order? (such as waxes? FOs? or other?) I seem to remember reading somewhere that their 50/50 blend wax was recommended (for tart melts maybe?) but I'd like to be sure that it's a really good wax before ordering. Also, does anyone know if this wax is a 50/50 soy-para blend? It doesn't specifically mention any paraffin at all...but I'm assuming..... Thanks much and I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! ~Mt Annie~
