  1. I have been using C-3 for several years and thousands of candles. I always use the ratio of 1oz to 1 pound and get great throw. Try heating to 200 adding fragrance at 190 and pouring at 150. I never have problems at these temps with my throw. If you still have bad or no throw get your fragrance from someone else. Your oil may not be compatible with soy.
  2. I agree with Wookie130. I have been using C-3 for the past 3 years and any more than 1 oz. is not noticeable, at least for what additional it would cost. I get great throw both cold and hot at 1oz. Some fragances are not meant to be stong but more delicate so you can adjust from there.
  3. For years I have tried to us LX and HTP and have given up. I have found I get consistently good pooling in a 3" container using the Ultra-core wicks. They are a fairly new wick (in the last 3 years). They were designed for the vege candle. A paper and nutuarl fiber wick. No metals but still gives the rigidity of zinc while making. You can see the technical stuff at my website under the wick tab thats under candles plus
  4. Has anyone seen the new candle WoodWick? I forgot who its made by (parent company). I was shown one by the sales rep and fell in love immediately. The crackling sound as it burns is a real nice perk. I have tried almost every type of wood there is, even some exotics. I have considered soaking the wood but not sure what to soak in. Nothing will stay lit and flame for any length of time. It's a great idea and I would really like to duplicate.
