  1. Does anyone know the manufacturer of the liquid goat's milk soap base sold by Elements Bath & Body, Rustic Escentuals and Essentials by Catalina? 2. When I was selling a few years ago, I required my warmer supplier to provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming my company as the certificate holder. This covered my liability should their product cause injury or damage to a buyer's property.
  3. Hi all! My name is Joanna (from Southeast Louisiana) and I first started making soy candles and soaps in 2006 when I was a Stay At Home Mom! Eventually I stopped making candles and concentrated primarily on soy melts. I started selling in early 2008 and gained a loyal local following, but later rejoined the work force as an Office Manager for a laboratory and my candle and soap making time suffered. By 2011 I had to stop selling and only made soaps and melts for my family. Well...I'm still working, but am always asked "When are you going to making melts again?" So I'm thinking about it.... seriously thinking about it. I came back to CraftServer because the members here are so helpful. Now I have to find a few new suppliers because Bitter Creek South and Kentucky Candle Supply have both closed. It's back to testing, but that's OK because I absolutely LOVE testing!!! Thank goodness Peaks is still around!!!!
  4. My friend has been asking me to mix coconut and lemongrass. I haven't had time to experiment lately, so I can't tell you how it smells.
  5. Has anyone seen one of these before?? If so, any idea on where to purchase them wholesale?
  6. I have product liability for the products I manufacture through the Soap Makers' Guild. I called the guild and was informed that they would cover any products purchased for resale as long as those products accounted for less than 20% of sales. She also suggested that I not purchase products from a company that could not supply me with a Certificate of Liability Insurance. This past week I contacted both OBI and Levine Gifts to get a Certificate of Liability Insurance but was unable to get one from either company. Has anyone asked for a Certificate and received one from these two companies? If so, was it recent and was it difficult? I called Candle Warmers and received one in the mail in two days time.
  7. Just did a quick search using the keywords apple, cedar, sandalwood, and fragrance. Just By Nature has a FO named Applewood. The description is Since I haven't smelled either Scentsy's Hemingway or JBN's Applewood I can't say that how similar they are, but it's a starting point.
  8. I believe Robin's tutorial is here.
  9. Well, I thought of a good one, The Sewing Chandler. But I did a web search and guess what? There is a sewing machine manufacturer named Chandler! So I guess it would get confusing.
  10. www.obiwholesale.com Here's the link to OBI
  11. Not entirely sure, but what about spraying it on the outside of the house, where the foundation meets the outside wall and around windows. Maybe in the attic also, this might stop them from coming in the bottom, top and side. Oh, I'd get around the door frames also. That way your house would not have as strong a mint smell. This may not work at all, but I thought Id throw it out there. And why use FO and not EO?
  12. Alas, I can be of no help because I loved the Sugar Cookies from SoyCandle.com, but they have closed. I will also be searching.
