Thank you both for the info. LOL I did take a knife and "shave" the rib off of the ball, but never thought to heat the knife and blend it. I will try that tonight. and I will also keep the nylon idea handy. You have both been a help.

This is my first post, and I need a some help. I made my first ball candle last night, I am basically happy with it but, there was a rib around the center of it, where the mold fits together. Did I do something wrong when I put the thing together? Is there a way of doing it with out the rib? Help. faye
