  1. That is totally cool! Looks like Barbie's dress from the pegasus movie, white one way purple the other and my daughter loves it. Now if only I could sew an actual straight, straight line. Sami
  2. I have a stack about a foot high of past catalogs. Back-up for when the phone company starts twitching the internet cables. Man oh man they are the absolute reason I don't have a credit card. Well them and artbeads, you can buys onsies and twosies and free shipping. Sami
  3. It's a form of plastic I believe that comes in a clay form, harder than playdoh but you get the idea. You mold it shape it stamp it paint it and do four hundred other things to it then bake. The baking cures the clay and most of the good brands will last a long long time before breaking unless you yanno drop it or something. http://www.glassattic.com probably has a much better explanation as well as tons of links to what you can do with it. Sami
  4. Did you hit the dollar sale at michaels? Christi Friesen just came out with a new book on under water creatures I'm so wanting to get. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0972817700/ref=wl_it_dp/104-7624637-8631908?ie=UTF8&coliid=I30OPYYXRQ7ZG&colid=17NONL5H2TFTR Who says you need sleep when there is claying to be done? Sami
  5. For necklaces, almost always lobster claws, easy to use cause you can spin the necklace around and you get to use two hands! For bracelets, I like toggles but I also use the lobsters cause I like my bracelets big and I can reach them. I've been wanting to try the magnetic for a awile now, they are supposed to be greatly improved in holding and are so darn pretty now. Sami
  6. I don't know of any kind of glue that would do what your asking but if you can take it apart you can exchange it with a small split ring, like a key ring where it loops around again. They have them in the jewelry section at wal-mart, michaels or jo-anns usually for a couple bucks you get several. Sami
  7. From the name, and amount per case I'd venture to say they are carrying SFIC bases. I'll have to ask next time I order. I really like those clear shots of the molds too. Sami
  8. I love this new section. I think I try everything at least once. I've got candles and m&p, scrubs and lotions. Then we get to the "other" stuff, I just finished my first knitting project (after 3 years of fiddling with it, it's a huge blanket for my daughter almost 10 foot by 4 foot great for sharing on the couch) I do beaded jewelry, chainmaille (very expensive) I sew a little mostly pillows and dress up clothes, polymer clay jewelry containers and a little sculpture, I too have a stash of never used scrapbooking stuff, I try to be a photographer at least doing product shots, they don't move or make funny faces, and I just got some graphics/video software for xmas that I'm loving. Sami
  9. Very pretty. A neat little tip I learned about the crystals is if you don't have a lightbox setup, scan them. It keeps the glare down so you get nice up close shots that look good. Sami
  10. I just got photoshop elements 5 for xmas. It's definatly a learning experience but I have done quite a bit with it just in the past couple days, google is your friend. The software has a help file included but no books or instructions really, if you register you do get 10 free tutorials from adobe. I also bought the book "Photoshop Elements: Missing Manual" which has a lot of good info in it. I put a banner I made just playing around in the member photos section if you want to see. I haven't tried it for making any labels but for pictures it's great. I paid 119 and have a $30 rebate to send in for PSE and premiere elements bundle, so it's no where near the 700 real photoshop I wanted but I'm happy. The premiere is for video editing, my camera also takes videos so I needed something to help clean those up and it's great. Sami
  11. From reading about all the legal stuff to do with bath and body I think you're right in saying it's "your" lotion. As far as the law in most places is, you've altered a productand you're responsible for it, in some areas this is exceptable for selling in others it's illegal to sell altered products. Gloworm I made my first batch a few months ago, I converted my recipe to grams so I could easily read the small amounts. I've been using my lotion exclusively and I love it, it came out so well. I also have one bottle I marked and put away to stand the test of time, if something starts growing in it all the other bottles get trashed but if after a year it's all good and I don't see anything in my use bottle I'll call it good. (I'm also not planning on selling anytime soon mostly its personal and family use) I made a 20 oz or so batch and it filled to the top 5 4 oz malibus I got in the trial size area at walmart. Sami
  12. I do mine in a pringles can. Just wash the can out well first. I also wet the loofa to shape it, it was a little squashed, stuffed it in the can and let it dry overnight. Then I mixed up my MP added peppermint eo and tea tree poured it over the soap and banged it on the counter a few times to make sure it got in all the grooves. Later that night I just peeled the can away and used a horrible for anything else ginzu knife to slice the roll, holding it on the cutting board with my hand in an oven mitt for extra protection. It's great for the footsies. Sami
  13. http://store.wspisp.net/melroseurbanfemale/Detail.bok?no=410 That's a quick link I found to give an idea. I was looking at these as an alternative to a puff for any powders but can't get my wording right for a search. But I think I have now found every porn/bnb shop there is. Sami
  14. That's the only difference I've seen. I think it's all marketing, body wash sounds more luxiorous(I cant spell) than shower gel. Sami
  15. I use the SFIC bases. I ran a co-op not long ago and still have some left. The minimums to buy direct are 250lbs. I think Lone Star Candle Supply carries them and Cierra not sure about who else. The only other base I tried was from Michaels and I could literally see the difference. I've heard good things about Stephensons but haven't needed to try them yet. Sami
