    Color Fading?

I used some colorants I got from Micheals, just basic red, blue yellow. Not sure what brand.
  2. I made some goat milk soap and tried to swirl in some colors. It turned out pretty cool but after one week the color has really faded. I am not sure why unless I should have kept it in a cool dry place?
  3. thanks for the reply. Mica can be troublesome if not blended thoroughly, I already found that out. LOL I think I will stick to liquid for now, non-bleeding.
  4. :)thanks. right now it is M&P, it's simple and since I am not a crafty person this works best for me, for now.
  5. I am wanting to buy some color for M&P swirling and other types of coloring, which is better to use mica or liquid?
  6. ok today went to the craft store bought a couple molds but I think best to find them online. I am starting to experiment with color, swirling, layering etc. I will probably end up with more soap supplies than cooking supplies!! Thanks for the comments!! This is fun!
  7. Thanks! I think this is going to be addicting!!
  8. My mother has been making tarts and candles for awhile now and today she showed me how to make M&P soap and then sent me home with some goat milk, scent and mica. What fun! I have been on Brambelberry all night watching videos. I ended up making some and I think they turned out ok for my first time especially since I am not a crafty person. I am excited to get some molds and other colors.
  9. Hi everyone. My mother got me interested in soap making, she gave me a quick tutorial just today and sent me home with some goat's milk, mica and scent oils. Very exciting! I am hoping to be able to find some molds and packaging. If anyone has any "beginner" items please let me know, I would like to start making soap for friends and family. Thanks!! Cheryl
