  1. Thanks, nursenancy! I am very new to wax and the descriptions of 416 and Ecosoya PB are similar but I have no experience myself with the PB. I will get some to test now!
  2. It's a supply issue...fewer suppliers carry 416...and the shipping to me is on the higher side to me on the east coast from these suppliers, unfortunately.
  3. So sorry!! it is Golden Wax 416 as nursenancy said!... i can't figure out how to edit my post!
  4. I am trying to find a substitute for IGI 416. Any recommendations? Thanks!
  5. Thanks, grama and TallTayl! Mad Oils said they would check out one of my tarts...so I am sending it today. I definitely would take a drum but Scentsible Scents was very closed mouth and I have asked several other FO vendors about it and their research came up with finding that none of their suppliers have it. That is interesting about the soap/wax components. I can live with something close, though, at this point. I would love it in soap and wax...two things I never thought I'd be interested in making for myself but now have been soaping (and some waxing) like mad. Just need that Sweet Annie and I will be set for life :)
  6. Thank you, Belinda, I'll try that and contact them!
  7. Does anyone know where else I can get Sweet Annie FO? My very favorite tart scent is Sweet Annie from Scentsible Scents/Crowsline and I only have a few tarts left...they discontinued this scent a few years ago. I emailed them requesting if they would tell me where they got their FO from and they wrote back that it was only available in drum size and wouldn't tell me anymore. I could consider a drum! I tried Daystar's Sweet Dani in wax and it does not smell anything like the Sweet Annie from Scentsible Scents/Crowsline. I've googled every few months and have come up with nothing. I bought wax for the express purpose of making Sweet Annie tarts for myself and can't find the FO . Any help would be much appreciated! Another question....I have been hoarding three small tarts ... is it possible to have an oil duped from three small tarts??
  8. Thank you, Jcandleattic, kandlekrazy, TallTayl, and topofmurrayhill! It seems that I am overthinking this a bit . Great information and advice for me...and shopping local craft shows sounds like fun and maybe there would be a good variety to choose from! Thanks again, everyone, I really appreciate your thoughtful answers!
  9. Hello! I am not interested in making soap but would like to buy some. My family likes Dr. Bronner liquid soap, for example. Is this really different from solid bars of castile soap? Also, I basically want to buy soap that won't clog my drains and that is made of "good" ingredients. Solid and/or liquid. Is there a place where I can find a "short list" of ingredients that are good and another list of ingredients to avoid? I know that all hand-made soap is not equal. There are some places I am interested in buying from but don't know what to look for. For example, It sounds like olive oil is a good ingredient...Does olive oil (or any "good" ingredients) clog drains any more or less than commercial soaps? If this is not an appropriate place to ask this question, please re-direct me and/or delete this post...I've been following the fragrance discussions (for candle-making) and am impressed by the expertise shared there so thought that this would be a more reliable source than google. TIA!
