  1. Thanks Belinda! I just ordered the Blackberry jam butter cookies, Sugar Cookies and Blue Hawaiian. I also use; Cranberry woods, pumpkin pecan waffle & salted caramel. (which is strong I have to keep the bottle in plastic bags!) I get those from AFI, but Fragrance Buddy carries them too. I'm in Dallas, where are you?
  2. Getting an order together for Fragrance Buddy. Love the Pumpkin Apple & Pumpkin Pecan Waffle, but need something without pumpkin in it. What else is a good seller in candles? Thanks everyone :undecided
  3. I use a lot of Stress Relief. It's my #2 seller in candles. I haven't tried Sweetcakes or Elements, but I must say Palm Beach candles is very strong & good in cp too.
  4. You can see the rate chart online here: http://www.precisionwicking.com/our-products/waxed-and-tabbed/atkinspearce/161.html And it's probably cheaper to go to your local Michael's Craft store. I saw them in mine last weekend. They are kinda pretty. I compared them to my square braid rate chart, and these are the biggest wicks out there next to fiberglass Tiki torch wicks! (lol) My rep says that the Helix-20 & the Helix 7.5 are the most popular.
  5. You can get them from; Yaley (Michael's), Precision Wicks & Createforless.com http://www.createforless.com/search/results.aspx?txtSearch=helix%20candle%20wicks" If you want the wick specs, pm or email me I have them in a Word & Excel file I can send you.
  6. Beautifully done! If your having trouble finding the right wicks, try to get a hold of the new Helix wicks. They're made by Atkins & Pearce & were designed especially for beeswax, palm & heavy soy.
  7. Could this be the same guy? Never saw this site b4 & he's in Georgia. Sounds pretty confident too! If anyone knows, please post. http://www.fragrancebuddy.com/
  8. I requested a quote. We'll see what happens. Thank you so much!
  9. Thanks simplybeelightful, I've purchased from both previously. I have a regular supplier who I found on ebay years ago, but now he's lowered his prices & I can't compete. I buy 300-500 each at a time. I just cannot believe through all my searching on the web I have not found one mfgr. Thought maybe someone here in the business might have the name of one. I'll keep on searching. Wish me luck!
  10. I'm getting a bit tired of paying almost retail for the molds I sell, not to mention how shipping charges have increased everywhere. If anyone has any information about manufacturers, rather than distributors, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks, in advance for your time!
  11. ladysj, what size are your labels? Are they pre-cut in a standard template that you set up in a document type file? If so, I would go to the label set up document, and do a control/A to highlight all & then choose white as your text. Then after printing your sheet of labels do an "undo" or highlight all again & change the text back to black, cause it's a bit freaky to pull up the file & it looks blank. Let me know if this works for you.
  12. Hi Jo, thanks for your reply. I found pillar techniques that I had printed in 2004 when I started candlemaking, from CraftServer & other sites. I had to laugh because one of the tutorials was your exact directions! At the time I printed them I didn't understand any of it, like it was written in a foreign language. I found another technique very similar using white chunks to fill the mold. Then melt 2 different color dye blocks (pieces) separately. Pour the filling wax over the chunks and spoon drops of the melted dye (one at a time). Let the colors swirl from the convection, and let the candle cool until it’s time for the second pour. It comes out looking tied dyed or marbled, and some of the chunks make white circles. The sample pic was done in a tall pyramid, and looks a lot like a lava lamp. Different, just thought I’d share since you were so nice to reveal your magic! :highfive: Have fun, ~ pat ~
  13. Hi Jo, I love all of your candles! I'm trying to get good at pillars, can you tell me if the technique you used here is filling the mold with colored chunks & pouring plain pillar wax to fill the mold? Thanks & keep up the good work!
  14. Excellent! I love Glass Glow wax. Love the labels too. Can you print in white reverse print for darker colored wax? Can you tell me if the label material is called "crystal clear"? I'm looking for a clear label, but all I've found is that frosted material. Thanks, good job!
