    Glade Wax Melter

Hi I bought a glade wax melter yesterday to compare it to my tea light melter and it seems to be working much better than the tea light burner. My concern is, it doesnt say how long you can use it for and its scaring me having it on longer than 5hrs. I have emailed SC Johnson to ask them what the safest burn time is but they havent answered me yet. I went to their website and I read reviews that people burn them all day and night
  3. Hi, I have just picked up my order of essential oils but I have never used them before in candles. I use 464 and will be making melts. Is there anything I need to do differently to using normal fo's? Do I need to adjust the wax temp? Do I need to cure longer? The bottle says 4%~ 10% usage what would be the best % to use? Many thanks
  4. My daughter is doing lash extensions and asked me if I had any candles for her to light when customers come. I gave her a candle I made in the 1st week of september. After her client left I went into her room and OMG the 16oz apothecary jar I could never get a full mp HAD a full mp. She just had another client here and again a full mp...wth
  5. I bought some pink chardonnay to make as a new years candle but it smells like rotten alcohol
  6. Thanks ChandlerWicks....that candle in the pic has burned twice at 8hrs each burn and it gave the tinnest mp so Im pretty confident that half way down n further it will be even more perfect. My daughters are power burners, there have been several times I go into their rooms to blow out a candle as they "forget" its burning lol (not my candles store bought candles) and they are young adults not kids. Like I said Ive been at this for nearly 1yr now, 1yr in nov, I have never ever gotten a mp on any of my test burns, well not a decent 1 anyways....It was just so exciting to see a decent mp finally after sooooooo many attemps. Im all for safety and thats why I have never given any candles to anyone and testing will always be happening with me as Im a perfectionist
  7. Hi Moonshine...thank you and no Im not selling my candles, just making them for family. Ive been at it for nearly 12months now and they keep asking me when are they getting their candles, but now I can say for xmas lol I burnt this candle for 8hrs and it was perfect, not hot and the flame was steady and small, so Im very confident to unleash them on my loved ones. Thank u x
  8. Im so happy to report that I think I finally have my winning reciepe. Its been burning for 6hrs now and has a tiny melt pool and ht is awesum...so now its onto making christmas candles as gifts now I know I have a candle that works properly. Thanks to everyone for their words of advice and encouragment x
  9. Wax was poured at 80c dont know what that is in F? This has never happened to me before and the only thing I did different is placed them in a cupboard straight after I poured. But the other candle that went with this 1 is burning perfectly. So I guess its just a big boo boo candle and I'll start again. Thanks for your help
  10. And can someone please tell me how do I fix the candle? Total melt n start again? Or scoop out? Many thanks
  11. Hi, I made this candle last week, 16oz apothecary jar, 464, 6% fo, eco 16. I just lit it and it tunneled straight down the wick. The tops were perfect, there was no sign of anything being wrong What did I do? Why did it do this? And why are my pics always on their side

  14. Hi, Im having a big clean out of my fo's and Im struggling to get cotton linen and baby powder to work in a 464 container candle. I have 2 big bottles of it and I really dont want to throw it out. I have tried using 8, 9 and 10% but I just dont get a good throw. Can someone please advise on how I should use these fo's? Many thanks Nicole
