sharyl55
Got a sample of this FO and tried it in a couple of different glasses. I made little unscented strawberries out of my hurricane wax. Poured at 200 in layers adding strawberries to each layer. As you can see, the strawberries started to melt. Should I have added something to the wax? I'm just not having any luck with wax embeds that I make.
sharyl55
I'm also testing Gelwix for the 1st time. Maybe I'm trying to test to much at one time - glass, scent, embeds, & wick.
Vicky_CO
Well with Champagne you don't realy mind the bubbles so try pouring cooler as cool as you can and still be able to pour. Yes you can add several differant things to the hurricane wax to make the wax have a higher melt point. Micro wax and A2A (will raise the melt point up a lot). There is a few more but as I am at home I don't have access to that information right now. I use an A2A & Micro wax.
sharyl55
Thanks Vicky. I used up my sample but will try throwing in some strawberries and pouring cooler on one of the other FO samples I got.
lanes_light7
You might also want to pop your embeds in the freezer for a bit. I usually put mine in for about 10-15 minutes.
