waxwonders15
I read somewhere that I am supposed to use 5% of FO per pound of palm wax; when I make my candles, I automatically add 1 oz of FO per pound. How do I know what percentage that would equal? I've always just made my candles this way and have never had a problem. Thanks for the help

Most of the info i found online for palm wax just said to use the 6% standard. so that is what i will try doing first i can always lower it if need be. 5% would be roughly .8 oz of fo. Jcandleattic
I rarely ever go above 3-4% FO in my palm wax. I just don't see a need to go higher when I can get an amazing throw with that low percent. ...

Ladymvb
how long do you let it cure before testing

Palm wax needs time to fully harden/crystallize otherwise when you go to burn it it can melt the areas that are not hardened properly up to fast and can cause you some issues. Jcandleattic
3-5 days is best for palm. I cure mine for at least 5 days before testing for scent throw.
