Five Bright Stars
I need to locate another wholesale or retail source for shea butter. I'm searching for a supplier who sells ivory shea butter for approx $2.00 - $2.60 pound. Can anyone help me locate a supplier?
Shari
I get the beige from Soaper's Choice but I don't think you're going to find it anywhere that cheap. https://www.soaperschoice.com/shea-butter-unrefinedshea-butter-unrefined-2 I haven't been able to find it any cheaper than this.
Sponiebr
Yikes! (whew...) $2.60 a pound? That's gonna be hard to find. As little as I use shea and other hard butters I generally find that I can find a decent deal on Amazon because of the shipping rates. I've been getting mine from here: https://www.amazon.com/Unrefined-Ivory-Butter-GRADE-Ghana/dp/B008LEQENE/ref=lp_6367195011_1_4_a_it?srs=6367195011&ie=UTF8&qid=1519302441&sr=8-4 Smellgood as a seller has been good to me (thus far, but I RARELY order butters). My shea was NOT white, it was very yellow, and it needed to be tempered but, I kind of expected all of that. I saw this seller on Amazon just now as well... with Free Shipping on Prime: https://www.amazon.com/afrimports-African-Butter-Natural-White/dp/B06X935FTD/ref=pd_sim_194_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B06X935FTD&pd_rd_r=G39JFEZ2MSQ7HAGBXNS0&pd_rd_w=laapY&pd_rd_wg=INCge&psc=1&refRID=G39JFEZ2MSQ7HAGBXNS0 That's the best price I've seen anywhere so far... You could also go with Soaper's Choice, and they are a very reputable company: https://www.soaperschoice.com/shea-butter-refinedshea-butter-refined-2 HTH... kandlekrazy
There is a place called Shea Butter Wholesale, I've never purchased from them but I heard from a friend it's the cheapest she's found. Idk about cheapest but I think when I looked it's about $3.
Candybee
Lately I have been getting mine at ED. I wait until they send me an email with a shea butter sale then buy enough for a whole year's worth. Right now they have a sale on their 55 lb box of unrefined shea at $158.40. That's $2.88 a lb. If you are a Greener Life club member you can get it for $126.72 or $2.30 per lb. Here is the link: http://www.essentialdepot.com/product/SHEA-55LB-BOX.html If you are looking for a source for a larger quantity of butter you may be able to get a better price on a pallet but you would have to call and ask. The best prices I have found so far for shea are from ED when they have a sale. Edited February 22, 2018 by Candybee
