e911
So I've got a few jars poured under my belt and they all have a variety of things I don't like, but this one is most troublesome. Is this mottling?
TallTayl
Soy wax? Looks like frosting.

e911
Ya it's soy. It's ugly. Thoughts/experiences on preventing it? Use a different wax? I'm using Ecosoya Container Blend Advanced.
Guest OldGlory
Soy frosts. My only thoughts: either embrace it or stop using color. I don't know of any soy container or tart waxes that don't frost. You can try paraffins, but most give you wet spots.
kandlekrazy
Yep, no color...no frosting!
e911
So I am currently burning one now and it looks like the wax is "sweating" out the oils. Hmm.. so I could cut out the colors and save on costs ha!
Trappeur
Yep, that's the frost bunny..... And yep, if you go au naturelle, they will disappear. Trappeur

GoldieMN
e911 asked: "So I am currently burning one now and it looks like the wax is "sweating" out the oils." Is this a result of frosting? I don't use any color but have seen this before even burning the candle. Goldie
Trappeur
What percentage oil are you using? Trappeur
kandlekrazy
Are your candles really cold when you light them? I've only had it happen once while lit and I took the candle out of a freezing car to give to my mom and she lit itimmediately, since it was the only one of the batch to do that I had to say it was the cold??
