Faerywren
I'm considering a melter for melt and pour soap making. Once upon a time I had a soap kettle. It was essentially a rice cooker and I wasn't too pleased with the results, so I sold it to another soaper. Now I'm wondering if I should revisit the rice cooker or try something like a Presto. Any wisdom/experience that anyone can impart will be appreciated. Thanks!

Jcandleattic
Sorry, just saw this. I have used a slow cooker, on warm. Otherwise it gets too hot, overcooks the soap and it becomes rubbery.
MarsBars
Slow cooker! Thrift stores have lots of them for cheap - you can purchase one for each type of soap you use- just keep them on warm.
