Darbla
I use more votives than anything else, and I'm thinking of using up some 4627 I have by mixing with scent and pouring directly into the glass votive holders. That has the added advantage of skipping that mold step. Have any of you tried that? I need to consult wick charts and see if any actually mention 4627 in a container that small. I'm hoping I can use my LXs up that I bought for votives, though I know IGI recommends HTP wicks for that.
Jcandleattic
I do this sometimes with my leftover container wax (it's not 4627)There is no reason this wouldn't work.
pcbrook
Yep! Do it all the time! I just use a different wax though!
kandlekrazy
Me too, diff wax and usually unscented but sometimes scented...works just fine!
crvella
I use 4627 for votives and pour straight into the glass votive. I use CDN 4 through 7, depending on the fragrance. I find the 4627 is great for votives.
ChrisR
Yep I also do this all the time, especially with my Christmas votives. I usually use an LX 8 wick, but I don't use that particular wax.
chuck_35550
Remember that all votive holders are not created equal. The original purpose is to hold a votive candle that should act like a pillar. I like them to stay intact for most of the burn and the holder only catches the spatters and blow outs. I tried pouring into some votive holders from Dollar Tree and they shattered on me. Otherwise, a nice sturdy holder should do nicely after extensive testing. Steve
