Berts ..Redwood & cedar

Recommended Posts

Never found one even close!  I think we need a poll with all Bert's fo's and what replacement has been found as this question continues to get asked for one or more of her scents.

I sort of gave up on the Dark Chocolate Mint, nobody's come anywhere near it.  The rest I wanted to keep I replaced with something similar, some I renamed to protect the innocent!

Redwood and Cedar sounds like a terrific scent combo. I lived in Calif and many times went to see the redwoods in Northern Cali. There are no other trees that smell like a redwood. My absolute favorite wood scent.

If you ever find or hear of a FO with redwood I would be very interested in it too!

I knew I had seen something with redwood notes in it. Soapalooza carries Big Sur with cedar, redwood, eucalyptus, and oakmoss. Sounds heavenly. Will have to pick up a sample of this. She gives soy ratings on her oils too and it says its excellent in soy. Here is the link:

I haven't heard from her since about 6 mos after she closed up shop...I hope she is doing well! and would love to pick her brain as to where she was able to get her fo's from...just to lead us in the right direction...there is so many people that loved her scents and we all hang on to them...

I'm about to make your day. The dupe is at Fragrance Buddy.  It's called Forest Nymph.  You're welcome :D

Moonworks got the dupe of Bert's Redwood & Cedar back in the day.  She called it Forest Nymph.  When she went out of business, Fragrance Buddy duped her dupe.  So, yes, there are mild differences to it, but overall, it's the same oil.

I've still got a few ounces of Bert's Redwood & Cedar stashed away.  It was so strong I only used it in itty-bitty amounts as a mixer.

(I'll give up my stash when its pryed from my cold, dead hands)   hehehehe

I srill have some of MW Forest Nymph, and imo it is not an accurate dupe of Berts Redwood & Cedar. I agree that Forest Nymph is a little heavy on the Eucalyptus in comparison. I sure do miss Bert's oils!
