Amanda, do you find it to be briny? I am trying to remember if I smelled it while at Aztec, but I am drawing a blank.

Sea Minerals is a beautiful fragrance, and I also think upscale. I wouldn't say briny out of the bottle it is strong, however it is very very weak in cold process soap, I used one ounce per pound and you can hardly smell it a month later. I am so disappointed since I love the fragrance, would make a beautiful candle though. I think the Moonworks Sea Witch is briny, I haven't smelled the Celestial Sea

I do a 50/50 blend of Salty Sea Air and Sea Kelp both from RE. I am going to be making some Spa soap with sea kelp powder and mica from Nuture's Soap Supplies and sea salt with this blend. Cactus & Sea Salt is great too from ICS. :)

That sounds lovely! Can you describe what the Sea Kelp smells like?

I came across a 2 ounces of their sea kelp I forgot I had! It smells very seaweed to me- would be a great ocean scent mixed or even on its own IMO

It has that real distinct briney smell and salt and air

Sounds intriguing! I need a new salt bar fragrance.... hmm...

Re: Sea Minerals from Aztec

This is the difference is each individual's sense of smell-

OOB I smell something like lemon as a top note. Not a true lemon, but sharp and it's what you smell first. It is definitely clean, but my nose detects no brininess. I finally remembered to sniff it today!

I'm sorry Candybee.....I've been out more than in here the last few days. Like Moonshine said it has a more briney scent to it. It is definitely different from the Salty Sea Air. It is a wonderful blend...I made some this last weekend and can't quit opening the jars to smell. :) They are going to a new home today, so I will have to make more. It is such a wonderful ocean type scent. :)
