rctfavr3
Anyone ever use this? The supplier descriptions for this essential oil are very amusing. Some claim it smells "floral-minty" while others describe it as "Curry-like". I've seen it mentioned as being "fruity-straw hay aroma" as well as, wait for it....burnt honey-baked ham. LOL. What the heck does this EO smell like anyway? Curious if anyone's tried it... Edited February 12, 2015 by rctfavr3
Guest OldGlory
I wonder if this is a classic example of how people smell things differently - or a variety of odors from a natural product - or the result of different distillation processes - ??Tea tree from one source will smell way different than another source.I have never smelled it, sorry. Candybee
This is the best description source I have found for it: http://essential-oil.com/botanicals_helichrysum_291.html Seems it has sweet hay-like and herbacious notes in it. So I can see how descriptions would vary. I have a recipe that calls for it for its mediciinal value so I never thought much about the scent. I never ended up getting it as I found a sub for my recipe. But I am curious about it.
