puma52
Just got this update this week about these new jars at Fillmore! SO excited! OK...let's brainstorm folks! What could we do to sell us some of these gorgeous jars and make us some money! Pour Lilac, Lavender, Daffodil, Lily ...actually any floral scents in white....tie us some purple/pink/white raffia around the top. Put beautiful label on top with our business info and a pic of some purple flowers on it. Offer this w/tissue paper/bag INCLUDED in purchase price - Nashville Wraps (awesome supplier of everything great in bags/raffia/tissue paper etc). Another idea....plant a succulent plant in jar...tie off w/raffia or twine around top. How about some wax crumbles in light purple or white....with a wooden scoop tied on w/raffia or twine? Purple Ball Regular Mouth Heritage 16 ozYour wholesale source for the lovely new vintage-style Purple Ball Mason Pint Glass Canning Jars. Candybee
I got the same email. I thought the purple was interesting. But colored glass just isn't my thing. I am sure others may love it but its not for me.
moonshine
Amazon is much cheaper- if your prime fee shipping- for me anyway- after shipping from Fillmore to me I save 3 dollars a 6 pack on the pintI ordered 8 cases last night from Amazon and plan on doing a spring special in lilac for this jar....I have the blue that I use in winter for fresh snow and I do have the green but still working on a idea for that....fresh grass or bamboo maybe
moonshine
Love the wax crumble idea as well....raffia I can never get to look right....any suggestions on how to do that correctly?
puma52
I have the other jars from Fillmore too, but I think of all those colors, people would be more likely to want the lavender color since it screams Spring and some folks just love all of the purple flowers. I am going to be ordering some scents from Fillmore anyhow, so I am just getting the jars from them too. I was also thinking that these would look great as luminaries...sand in the bottom w/tea lights or sell w/citronella tea lights. You could also make floating candles out of the regular size tart molds and offer the two for Spring/Summer parties or tie wire around the top of the jar and sell as hanging lanterns. Sell as a candle in a Spring Spa basket w/like items such as a luscious bar of YOUR soap, lotion, face/body scrub. As far as the raffia, I just do a regular shoe tie tie. There are times I re-tie 2 or 3 times. It doesn't always look perfect, but it does make it prettier.
Carrylh
I purchased a candle from Marshalls the other day it is a DW Home candle in a beautiful teal blue but they colored the wax to give the jar a deeper color with a piece of burlap string looks real nice....wish I knew how to upload a picture from my I Pad to show it.I think Lavender or anything with Spring Scents would do well.Im just a hobbyist...
moonshine
The purple is my favorite so far!! I heard they were going to do an amber also but this description says the last of the series....The green isn't so hot - not my favorite shade so I may try and dye that wax to see if it makes it pop moreI love the lantern idea....you have so many great ones! I will have to try try the raffia again and see if I can make it decent

moonshine
Me too....you would think they would every year- new color- more sales I got my purple and have testers curing in lavender sage and lilac- they are beautiful!!!The green I decided to test FC olive blossom and I made grapefruit mango in them per my sister claiming everyone loves green and that scent....I really hope I don't have to pour more of that I can't stand it - and I love grapefruit scents! The olive blossom is very different- clean- fresh and herbal, hopefully it throws good because I am thinking it's another FC hit I will be adding

Guest OldGlory
Have you seen the mason jar candles at *Paddywax* ?I looked up methods of dying jars and it can be done. I don't have time to do it but I would love to try it some day. One more time consuming step in the process and not my idea of fun, but the results might be really nice. moonshine
I have a paddy wax jar here in the blue like the ball- a little darker Do they dye theirs or have them custom done...the one I have is imprinted right in glass like the ball ones with paddywax and their emblem of a P with a circle around it I have tried to dye my own with a method I found on pinterst and you bake them after- what a time consuming disaster! I have no hand at paint apparently! Lol
