I decided to join to find new ways to make candles, and to give and receive great advice!  My shopping website is www.sweetsoycandles.com.  Any other questions, please ask!  Have a great day/night guys!  Looking forward to improving my candle making skills by browsing and talking to everyone on this site!post-14773-0-44512300-1417624765_thumb.j

Hi Candlelady2! Welcome aboard! We look forward to hearing your about experiences with soy wax and running a business. I'm sure you have a lot to offer and hopefully we can answer most of the questions you have.

I won't speak for Candlelady, but when I first started making candles it was explained to me this way:

2% was the standard amount of FO to add

4% was double scented

6% was triple scented

I have always added around 6%, maybe a bit less or more depending on the application and fragrance oil. In 1343 I add 3%.

It's a marketing hype....exactly how old glory explained it

Using the term Triple scented makes it sound like your getting more scent in a candle or a better candle than normal- wax can only hold so much fragrance- I use 8.57 percent so I guess I would be quadruple scented.....

It has also been referred to as using 3 different scents layered in a jar from some of the websites I have seen

By the way welcome candlelady42, your candles look very nice
