jwn6w
Hi everybody I have not been on here for a long time. Thought I would give candles another try. I have been reading through the post here and never see any thing about joy wax and was wondering why! Does anybody use it and if so how do you like it? I bought 10 lbs. of it because someone told me how they had used it years ago and liked it. I am beginning to think that I should not have bought any since I see nothing on here about it. I would appreciate any responses. Thanks.
lauralea
I use it and love it. They always come out so creamy and nice. I have only used the fO's that are shown to throw in soy and have had no trouble with cold or hot throw. I use the CD wicks.

amanda
Does anyone have any thoughts on how it compares to 6006?
sidlesup
I used it for 6-8 months and loved it for the smooth candles and ease of us (doesn't get everywhere like the flakes) but I gave it up because the vegetable oil smell when burning was just too strong for me. Others may not notice it though. I'm the first to admit that my sense of smell is a bit off. For instance, about 20% of the perfume I sniff smells like it's "turned" to me, even if others don't notice. I now use GB464 and don't notice that smell competing with the FO. Chefmom
Early in my candle making I tried out a slab of Joy Wax. It was the smell that surprised me. I used to work at a bakery as the late night doughnut maker and the joy wax smells EXACTLY like the fat we used in the fryer for the doughnuts..... Yea, it was creamy and took bakery scents well, but even when it was burning there was this "essence of doughnuts" in the background that I found a little strange..... I then tried 6006 and never looked back...
