soap_nut
Boo! I goofed and accidentally bought naturally refined cocoa butter that isn't deoderized Of course I need to make a few batches of soap today so I'm kinda stuck. The recipe I'm using calls for 13% cocoa butter. It will be great for my coffee soap but not so sure about my fruity or EO soaps. Do any of you use refined cocoa butter that is not deoderized regularly in your soaps or am I going to regret using it? Scented
I've got regular cocoa butter and it doesn't really interfere with what I make. I don't pick up anyway.
KrazeKelly
I never have any issues with the scent coming thru in soap. Only in body butters and lotions. You'll be good for soap.

CareBear
When I used it at 48% I could almost smell it - but not really. And no one who didn't know it was there could pick it up at all.Go ahead and use what you have.
ktaggard
Same here. Never had a problem with using regular cocoa butter in cp. You'll be fine.
Candybee
Same here too. I use regular cocoa butter and don't have any trace of the scent in the finished soap. But then I typically don't use more that 5-10% in any one recipe. Maybe thats why.
