RWV
Need some expert advice please. I usually use zinc wicks but wanted to test some other wicks due to mushrooming, soot, etc., I often get with zinc. Tested several sizes of the Premier in the 18 oz. Victorian jar which is about 4" at the widest point but even the 799 is not giving a full mp, even after multiple long test burns (5 + hours). I use a 60/40 parasoy blend and 8% fragrance load (smell of Christmas from Aztec), no color. I've got CD, LX, HTP, & Eco wicks available. I was thinking maybe a CD22 or Eco 16 to try next. What are your thoughts and recommendations? Thank you all--it's so good to be back on this board --y'all are always so helpful and kind! ChandlerWicks
I think, try the Eco16. I do use the zincs in my paraffin blend. Could be the FO% is causing the mushrooms & soot.
RWV
Thank you Tracey I'm gonna try the Eco right now. May also pour this scent @ 6% & see what happens with the zinc and the Premier wicks. The zinc always gives me a nice even burn but the mushrooms & soot are bugging me. Thank you again!
ChandlerWicks
Welcome! I always disliked the zincs, but now they burn great with 6% FO most of the time.
