I've seen amber combined with sandalwood, patchouli, cedar, musk, vanilla, ginger, and sometimes floral notes. I did a search in the Fragrance Oil Finder just for amber, then you can see all of the potential combinations. I had a customer years ago that was frantic trying to find this fragrance - like she was obsessed with it. Is it a white floral with ginger notes on the amber? Can you even smell the ginger?
