Trappeur
If you were to choose a design which one would you go with? These are my Christmas labels I've been working on for the holidays for my candle line. I have 2 different sizes I use...1 1/2" square and a 3" square label. I love the green font but it is a little hard to read on the smaller labels but you can still read. All other info is on the warning label on the bottom as I prefer a clean and simple label. The label with the pine cone is my everyday label I use all the time. Just thought I would show it. Out of all the labels (1 to 4) which one would you prefer? Thanks. Trappeur PS: In order to get the pictures up I had to do this in 2 posts (this one and the next one down)....For some reason I'm having a hard time to post as it says I'm out of time and wouldn't let me post. Geesh, I don't know why they came out so big, the pictures.....lol #1 #2 Edited September 20, 2014 by Trappeur

lmc
I like #4...color stands out nicely and the font is same as your standard labels so customers will recognize them as being yours

ChandlerWicks
#2 & #4 Love your all the time label!
justajesuschick
I ADORE your "every day" labels! Of course, my company has a rustic feel and is also a Lodge so that makes sense! I would not switch to a new font. A different color or placement of the type but not a different font. The font will really hold together your brand. I would also use care with the word natural. It may be covered if you are sourcing and using has not been chemically processed and if you are using essential oils. Certainly, by using synthetic fragrance oils it renders a product not natural. I just LOVE the pinecone and trees. They are so nice that the placement of the scent almost does not even matter to me. I have looked at them over and over. VERY nicely done!! pcbrook
I like #2 and also your all time label is awesome. I also loved #3 but I wonder if the lettering over the trees would be harder to read.
Trappeur
For some reason or another the board won't let me post as it keeps saying I'm out of time as I have been trying to respond to everyone. I'll keep on trying. Trappeur
SuzyK
I like #4. Your everyday labels are awesome as well. I would keep the font of your business name the same.
Jcandleattic
I like #2. I like the contrast between the color of the trees and the name. (that's why I like it better than #4) I also agree with everyone else, that the font needs to stay the same as your day-to-day labels, to associate that as your brand. Trappeur
Ok, I might have to do this is 2 posts because of timing out going on. Here is a picture of my small 1 1/2" daily label. This is the large 3" daily label Label #5Now I just redid the Christmas label in goldish fonts so I'll call this label #5. Do you like this any better?
Trappeur
I screwed up in the post above. The edit button won't work....My daily 3" label is not what I have shown here. Just forget the above post and here is what it should be in this post. My daily 1 1/2" label is this: My 3" daily label is this: Label #5. Now I just redid the color of the font of the Christmas label as in my daily labels to the gold. So now there are 3 choices to pick from. Either #2 label in the green font, or the #4 label in the cream font or the #5 label in the gold font.
ChandlerWicks
Can you use #5 & change only the FO scent to green? Edited September 20, 2014 by ChandlerWicks
Guest OldGlory
I'm sure you've considered this - instead of a black background you could go with a dark red instead. That would be festive.
Trappeur
FThankyou everyone for all your suggestions and the ones you like the best. It helps me narrow down my choices. I really did want to stick with my original font in Trappeurs Lodge and everyone suggested that, so that is a go. And yes the label where the writing is not across the trees so that is a go too. And I really wanted to bring the green in on the label. You see when I designed it and brought it up on the screen for example the little 1 1/2" labels, it looked so perfect, but when the labels came in originally all the fonts were so smmmaaallllll....I had to squint to see what I was reading and I knew what I was reading because I was the one who made it up and I knew what it was! lol.... And also too the green font as beautiful as it shows on the screen here, well, when the labels came in, they were too dark and didn't look like the way it shows on the computer screen. Now the big 3" labels were really perfect in every way. And about what you said Justajesuschick, about putting "natural soy" on the label to be careful? Ok, when I was making them up, that was a sticky thought in my mind as to whether I should or shouldn't. I know with all the discussions that have been here talking about what is considered a real all natural candle is a whole conversation....lol.....and this is the way I thought about it.. In todays world the "go green" thing is a big thing and yes I like it.And customers are well aware of it and lots are into only soy and lots not into it and don't really care as long as the candle smells good. Me personally, lol...I don't care....I probably should be lol,lol.....I'm not trying to deceive the public as I'm not that way, but the way I look at it, when I put "natural soy" on the label, in reality the soy wax is from natural soy beans grown so it really isn't a lie, is it? Now the way it is processed different waxes makes it not all natural so that is why I didn't put "ALL natural soy" and left off the "all". And when I'm working with customers and talking about the candle I make, I definitely tell them, no bones about it how my candle and most candles are not 100% all natural soy from the process of making the wax to the wicks, etc, etc. Can you understand where I'm coming from? I know a lot of people will dispute but such is the world! lol....I thought of leaving the natural off and even putting just soy candle...but then everyone knows it's a candle so why take up space on the label and make it crowded? And then just to put only soy on the label looked funny to me...hmmmmm Tracey I love what you just said so I made up another label so we all could see. It's in the next post below this one. Old Glory.....I didn't think about what you said but I LOVE that idea as well. My whole house is red black and army green so that would be awesome in my eyes! I'm going to play around with it in a bit.... Guest OldGlory
Trappeur, I like the way you worded it, Natural Soy. In my head, it implies nothing except that soy beans are a natural resource.

ChandlerWicks
Yep, that's it!I was actually doing online college for creating websites & logos & such, but had to stop for now, because I cannot concentrate! LOL!
lmc
Love the last one and the wording 'natural soy'....as a consumer and chandler, I take it to mean the wax is soy based, not a 100% all natural candle. Great job Trappeur!
SueH
Oh wow! They are all so nice! Can't decide cause I love them all!
ChandlerWicks
One more thing. Can you use the same font for natural soy that you use for your name? For some unknown reason, I feel there should be only be 2 different fonts. Name & info the same font & the scent a different one. Just so I can see!!!!!!! I am wondering if you use the color text in #4 in the layout of #2, how would that look?Hi Noodle, #2 and #4 labels are the same exact tree labels. I don't really understand what you mean of changing the cream color used in #4 for and putting in on #2? Did you mean just change the scent name in #2 to the cream color in #4?
