KrazeKelly
I've never had to seal candle tins before and the only thing I can find about it is to use Modge Podge. Is this correct? What kind do you use since there are several types? Thanks !!!!
Vicky_CO
Are you talking about a leaking tin or is for a different reason? Me personally I would not use modge podge I would use a thin bead of silicone chaulking on the inside seams. I know people use Modge Podge for sealing terra cotta pots. KrazeKelly
These are tins I want to make candles in but they are not seamless so I need to seal them before I pour. I thought silicone would be good too but tried searching and all I could find was mention of Modge Podge. I was worried about the heat from the candle. So, you think silicone will stand up to the heat??Thanks!!

Georgia
I'll be the weird one here...I've used ModgePodge to seal tins. I'm actually burning one right now that I poured oh...six years ago. No problems.
MarthaHeart
I have the same questions plus more. Silicone or acrylic caulk or Mod Podge? Are any of them safe to burn or inhale? I am making all natural candles and do not want the candles to have an odor or emit harmful fumes when burning. And which Mod Podge do you use? Thanks
