My best-selling scents that I will be offering this Fall will be Harvest, Amish Harvest, Hansel & Gretel, Cinnamon Stick, Caramelized Crimson Pear (Just got this in, but I am telling you, it will be a best-seller this Fall...YUM!!!...hint...hint), Spiced Orange, the coffee line from ICS :),All Hallows Eve (I call Harvest Moon), Pumpkin Cheesecake, Cinnamon Apple Spice, Pumpkin Souffle. Ihad been wanting to add some fun things back into my line.... I will be bringing my potpourri line back, I am going to also be revisiting my grunge pillars this Fall....I love the 4x4, 4x6 and 4x9 line...it is time...might even do some 6x6's in grunge, I think I may also grow a wild hair and make some candle pies, I have also gotten some Fall embed molds for tart melt making and will be making some new scents in them. I will be painting some 16 oz mason jars with the chalk paint (in oranges and browns...sand off some spots for the candle light to flicker through) with Fall scents, I am also going to offer more in kitchen linens, candle accessories and signs. I really feel like doing some fun and different things this year for Fall. :)

Puma, Where do you find the time & energy? You devote everything to work, I see that each time I'm there. Can you bottle some of it & give it to me?

Wow puma! You make me feel lazy! LOL

I'll be doing about 4-5 batches of soap in fall scents either today or definitely next weekend to have them done. Same with my "little hands" line. I'll be making about 4-5 batches of that in kids scents.

Then I will also be making a ton of candles - pillars, votives, containers and melts - all in different sizes (except the votives, those are standard 2oz), and all in my Fall/winter scents.

I have about 20-25 fall and winter scents, so I feel I have to narrow that down to about 10-15 and once I decide that, I'll be making some of each scent. :)

That's really about it for me for this fall. How boring.. LOL

Wow...I need some of that motivation also....haven't poured a thing in months!

The chalk paint sounds awesome....so you do this on the outside of the glass? I have tried the tinting on the inside but it didn't work out very great - but I did pick up some green 16 ounce masons...thought maybe a pine for Xmas in these

Hee hee....Chandlerwicks!! YOU are the one who has all the energy....I have been stewing all Summer thinking about what I want to do for Fall and Christmas. Things are going to cool down and people will want to buy....it stirs up my energy! :)Besides it is nothing to make pretty potpourri ....just gotta let it "cook", of course painting the jars is nothing....just making a combo of acrylic paint, plaster of paris and water and a piece of sandpaper, the pillars....well THAT is more work, but I love making these candles and seeing the end result. It just gives a very homey feel. I will be revisiting Colonial Tinworks now known as CTW Home Collection....they have some awesome candle pans and I am buying some cute pans to put these pillars in and also have room for the potpourri to go around it. The rest of the stuff I am buying from suppliers and all I have to do is put my markup price on it and sell. :)

I swear, I am going to sneak over to Puma's and observe her at work in her candle cave. I could learn a trick or two...

Hey Moonshine:

I am going to use the recipe in this video that uses the acrylic paint and plaster of paris w/a touch of water...hey if they can do it...we all sure as heck can! :) This chalk paint is all the rage right now and I do believe we all can profit from it. After painting my jars I am going to take a piece of sandpaper and lightly go over the jar and over the mason jar words so that a little light can come through. I also may place star shapes on the jars painting over them then take off after painting allowing the candle light to show through that way also. Then I will spray seal it. We'll see...I really think these would look cool in the Fall and at Christmas time. :) See below for ideas... :)

Chalk and milk paints are really big here. I was lucky enough to get a jar tutorial done with local gal on painting and sanding a jar with milk paint. We are suppose to do a chalk type paint next.

This video is not on making the paint but doing the jar.

Cool stuff in this thread! People can be so creative! :)

I am doing a palm series in the little square 8oz mason jars. Since this is my first time using palm, I will only be offering 4 scents. They scents that aren't in my normal line up.

I'm going to give them Halloween names

"Frankenstein's Lab" -green palm wax, Cool Basil Citrus scent

"Snow White's Apple" - red palm wax, MacIntosh Apple scented

"Boo"-- white palm wax, Sugar Cookie scented

And (my favorite!) "Witch's Brew" which is BLACK (I had to experiment forever to get a functional black candle!!) and it's a custom blend that I came up with that's a cran-orange, oak, and spices blend. I'm super proud of this candle :D

Then I'm going to give them holiday names after Halloween. I would love any suggestions (I'll probably have to change the color of black candle, huh?)

As you can probably tell, I'm really excited about this! Hehe.

You do not have to change the color of the black call it Starry nights or something like that and still be Xmas oh or maybe Solstice Eve.

Or call it Night before Christmas? I like these suggestions, and all of your candles amanda have very clever names/themes. :)
