"What's wrong with it"? This is something my toddler daughter actually said when seeing another candle makers bumpy, pitted, unsmooth tops.  Out of the mouths of babes.

Someone asked me that a week ago. Of all the nerve.... !

I told her "No, candles are all the same" and walked away. Her totally shocked face, after that response, was priceless!

I just love that scent.....I'd love to get these but I have to check with my husband first  to see what he thinks......

My biggest offensive comment is:

"What makes yours so special to be more expensive....I can go down the road and get the same thing half price"

My reply is always that I wasn't aware I had another shop down the road, they are not my candles so they are not the same so if you want to go buy cheap candles by all means do- my price is my price and I don't work for free- do you?

Not a candle story but wanted to share. I once had a lady that wanted me to reduce the price of a soap she wanted by 25%. I was selling it for $4 and she wanted it for $3. Her explanation was she bought a soap for $3 at the flea market so mine should be the same. I just looked at her like her hair was on fire and said 'no'.

Just last weekend a lady asked  " can you do 2 for $5.00?" On my 22 oz apothecary jars. ummmm...no!
