Question about suppliers

I live in MN where there are virtually no wholesalers so pick up is not an option.  I've been ordering a lot of supplies from Wholesale Supplies Plus since they offer free shipping but haven't been crazy about some of the fragrances.  Nature's Garden is awesome but the shipping really drives up the cost.  Do any of you have recommendations for EO & Fragrance oil suppliers with decent prices and shipping?

Also wondering if there is any variation in Lavender EO from vendor to vendor?  I like the Lavender 40/42 but I'm afraid to try someone else's 40/42 because I love the Nature's Garden one so much :)

Thanks :)

I'm in MN also, and I agree, there are not many suppliers close by.  Sweetcakes is in Edina, MN, so I can pick up from them as I'm only 15 min from them.- they have wonderful fo's and EO's.  BCN is in WI, and Peak in Colorado.  They are closer so shipping is typically quick and reasonable.  I order only a few things from WSP (many of their prices seem high, even with the free shipping).  I like Elememts, AH, Candle Cocoon (they are in WI too), MMS, NG, CS.  I've been trying to narrow down my suppliers but it's hard!    MMS has a special of free shipping with purchasing 7- 1 oz samples (but you can't order anything else, just those 7 oils, it does include fo's and eo's).

Wholesale supplies is not free shipping, they add the shipping costs on the front. Sweet Cakes may be pricey but the majority of their products are A+ in my book. Just can't afford to spend that kind of money for part time sales. AH/RE has some excellent choices for soaping and candle making IMHO and are reasonably priced with ok shipping charges.

Steve is absolutely correct.  Do not "buy" into the free-shipping thing. They need to recoup their costs and make a profit just like anyone else - it's just a marketing game.  If you get a lower overall cost somewhere rest assure they're making it up and then some somewhere else.

I like WSP- their scents are great- the shipping great- they use glass and not plastic and when you do the math the fact that they add shipping into their costs.....it's not much more than any other GOOD supplier, depending on the fragrance of course- I did a lot of time figuring numbers on the scents I use from them and comparable ones to other suppliers

Another great supplier that I feel shipping is very reasonable and fast is candlescience if you gm haven't checked them out yet along with elements bath and body
