Hi Nick! I have been using 4627 for 1 year now. Just like you I started with LX wicks but had to look for other wicks because of mushrooming and sooting. I had almost given up on the wax but tried several wicks with failed tests. I am using right now ribbon wicks by Northwoods Candles. The downside is it only comes in 3 sizes small, medium and large. What I love about the wax is it has an excellent cold and hot throw, but i dont like it being messy. I am now testing the wood wicks and it seems to be good too for this particular wax.

Hi Moonshine! I am just shy to post my work. I am my own worst critic. I find making pillars easier than container candles because of wicking issues.

Hello everyone! My name is Marivic and I had been a member of this forum since 2005. Been making candles on and off for 15 yrs as a hobby. I had been reading posts here which was very helpful and inspiring. Almost everyday since October I have been reading member's posts and most of the time that is all I need to be inspired and create beautiful candles. I make mostly pillar candles and a few container candles. Finally, I had the courage to start a candlemaking business, encouraged by my friends. I thank everyone in this forum for the knowledge and the inspiration! I have a new website which I created by myself, still not complete yet. Anybody is welcome to comment and make suggestions. Well, thanks a lot for the encouraging comments. For some time i was afraid to post pics coz my candles seem amateurish compared to pics in this site. Here are some chunk candles i've made last christmas as gifts to friends and relatives. I find it easy making chunk candles and i seldom fail. Next time i'll make sure that i have pictures of my candles before i give them out. Thanks for viewing!
