  1. Welcome to the world of candle making! You can find some great beginner tutorials here: http://library.rusticescentuals.com/
  2. Here is a great wax for tart making: http://rusticescentuals.com/Ky-Para-Soy-Tart-and-Votive-Blend.html
  3. Adding a little castor oil will help add some glide to the balm.
  4. No. The sample pack offers scents at a sale price. (ends at noon today) It's not available the rest of the year, just only now during the sale.

  6. Some of my favorites: Cuban Tobacco Bonfire Bliss Amish Quilt Toasted Marshmallow Salty Sea Air Bora Bora Cranberry Salsa Bird of Paradise Pumpkin Creme Brulee Turquoise Sky Frozen Warm Vanilla Nutmeg Pumpkin Bread I use GB 464 and all give fantastic hot throw.
  7. Their new Rustic Lodge is crazy strong and I love it.
  8. Phthalates are in nearly literally EVERYTHING we touch - you're touching phthalates right now with your keyboard and mouse. I don't worry about whether or not it's in fragrance oils.
  9. I love the 464 and it's all I've used for years when making containers. I let the candles cure for 7 days but have found that if they sit around time extra to that that they will sometimes get even stronger. I have had scents that I didn't think would throw well, so I just shoved the candles in the box - light them 6 weeks later in the bathroom and SURPRISE! But kidding aside, if the FO is going to work good in the wax, it will throw within 7-14 days, sometimes sooner.
  10. These are my favorites: http://rusticescentuals.com/Candle-Dye-Liquid/
  11. You can also find a tutorial here: http://library.rusticescentuals.com/scoopable-tart-wax-tutorial/
  12. Because 464 is a wax made for containers, it can sometimes be soft and sticky.
  13. The receipt should be for the value of the items (cost you paid). You cannot deduct the retail cost, only your cost.
  14. Crush dye chips into small pieces and sprinkle them onto the melted wax after you've poured it into tart molds. Let cool. As the wax cools it will create a tie dye effect with the colors. You can see them here: http://library.rusticescentuals.com/scented-tarts-in-fluted-tart-molds/
  15. It's not possible to make an "organic" candle. Right off the bat, the wick is not 100% natural.
