  1. It's really sad, I had such high hopes. I used to buy a lot of candle supplies from them years ago, until they dropped the ball on me during busy season and ubruptly stopped carrying glassware and wax.
  2. Placed an order with WSP on 3/17, as of 4 /9 I'm still waiting. I didn't order bulk or during a sale. According to their website , my estimated ship date was 3/28 . I'm literally 35 minutes away from them, I could pull the order myself if they would let me. In my former life ,I worked in a warehouse that pulled orders daily for over 500 stores nationwide (Camelot Music). Everything else I've ordered from other suppliers has arrived within a few days or sooner. I'm thinking that WSP has bit off more than they can chew with all these buy outs. I was really hoping to do more business with them ,but I cannot risk not knowing when I'll recieve my orders. I do hope they get their shipping dept. issues straightened out. Until then , this is my last order.
  3. It's really good, you won't be disappointed ! It's pretty true to it's name. The nutmeg is really good as well, it's a nice warm fragrance, not super spicy.
  4. Actually NG zuchinni bread is really about as close as I can get right now to that scent. It has the right bakery depth, scent wise. I'll try adding a splash of cookie to see what it smells like. Thanks so much Belinda 😊
  5. So far a lot of the cake samples I've ordered are way too light- cherry, almond ,white cake . Patti Cakes was more like a banana nut bread, but without the bananas. It was an amazing mixer !
  6. @Jasmine M Candles & Supplies and Community Candle Supplies carry the kraft paper caps you're looking for. I used to order those for a line of tumbler jars I used to carry. HTH
  7. @TallTayl thanks ,I will definitely check into that. I started to build one last year on WIX, then I got really overwhelmed with everything and aborted the mission. I'm thinking that I need to watch some tutorials to get over my fear of screwing things up . The hardest part for me is figuring out shipping costs. I don't want to gouge people but I also don't want to lose money.
  8. Very cool ! I can't see anything that you may have missed, Looks like you pretty much covered everything. Thanks !
  9. I couldn't agree with you more ! This is my #1 pet peeve at some of my shows. A few years back, it got so bad with internet misinformation ,I had a few people dash out of my booth because I carry para-soy & paraffin products. There were also some newbie competitors that were literally carnival barking the gospel of paraffin doom & gloom to passersby , that was unreal πŸ™„ Since then I've made hand outs to educate existing and potential customers πŸ˜‰ Makes me think of the saying..."Blowing out someone else's candle doesn't make yours shine any brighter".
  10. I've always been somewhat of a "People Pleaser", so naturally customer complaints was something that made me a bit fearful. In recent years I've changed my mindset on that fear and accepted it as a way to keep me grounded, because we're all human and mistakes happen. Since most of my business is done at festivals , I've had to deal with complaints face to face. Thankfully, they've been few and far between and those customers were very gracious in their approach. I agree, it does create opportunities to improve as well as potentially grow your business by learning from those mistakes. I've been creating candles & scented wax products for 24 years now, I'm still learning new things and enjoying all that comes along with it. Now ,if I could just get motivated enough to put together a website , maybe cast my net a little wider
  11. I wonder if Oakmoss would be a good blender ? One of my candle maker friends gave me a full pound from TFC and I haven't done a thing with it yet. I wasn't sure how it would sell on it's own, but I'd be down for mixing it with something to make it faboulous !
  12. Millcreek's Fireside Musk is really gorgeous OOB. I'm hoping it does well in Para-Soy, because I have several customers that love the hippie-type scents .
  13. So far Cake from CS is pretty good, but that rich baked smell is missing
  14. There may be some vapor left in the bottle 😒 Last time I was able to get this was not long after RE took over KY. I guess they had too many problems with this oil and just decided to drop it. I have samples coming from a few different suppliers to compare. I used it as a mixer for a blend that my customers want me to bring back. If I can find the right baked cake scent I can make that happen. So far everything I'm finding has too much cherry / almond , Patti Cakes was more of a deep baked yellow cake scent which made it perfect for blending.
  15. @Laura C If you have an arts district in your area, you might want to check with the Chamber of Commerce . Several years ago I was able to rent a nice work space / brick & mortar pretty inexpensively . Our arts district was rennovating many old store fronts and offered them to local artists looking for space to create or set up retail shops. My only downfall was sharing that space with a family member that pretty much stuck me with ALL the responsibilities πŸ˜’ Lesson learned ! I ended up back home, but took over the entire basement by setting up several work stations to accomidate everything that I make throughout the year. I would love to have a ground level workshop someday, my old knees would be overjoyed 😊
  16. It was the most yummy baked yellow cake scent ever ! Unfortunately it was discontinued , from what I remember there were problems with the vanilla content which cause lots of crystallization . I spoke with someone at RE awhile ago , but they had no plans to bring that scent back. I've been searching high and low on old threads, scent descriptions, etc. but all I'm finding are white cake scents. If anyone knows of something close to that scent I would be a very happy girl 😊
  17. I call mine Bombshell Babe, customers know right away what it is .
  18. RE has a Strawberry Musk that's pretty amazing ! Definitely a "Head Shop" scent, it reminds me of an incense that I used to burn in my youth I totally agree ! Those are the only fragrances I ever wore, besides patchouli, and they are so weak now. I wished they were still as good because I really, really miss them
  19. Although it's not a perfect match, I think ICS Bread Pudding will be a good replacement for BC Raisin Bread, enough to keep my customers happy😊 I agree, the Bear Claws is yummy ! Now, that Vanilla Frosted Grahams ...HOLY MOLY !!!! I cannot wait to get that into wax ! I'm thinking that it's gonna be my new favorite 😊
  20. I'm desperately looking for a replacement for BC's Cinnamon Raisin Bread that was part of their scent specials forever ! Of course now that it's become one of my best sellers, it's been discontinued 😭 I have high hopes for ICS 😊 I'll probably put in another order as soon as this one comes and I smell everything πŸ˜€
  21. After reading this thread, I'm about to place an order with them. The Sugar Milk is OOS , so that'll have to wait 😭 Here's what I'm getting so far... (Samples) Blueberry Cheesecake Vanilla Frosted Grahams Bear Claws Amish Cinnamon Bread Sugar Cookie Dough Kettle Corn Bread Pudding Praline Pound Cake Apple Fritter Cherry Pie I figured I'd go for it and order full pounds of the following- Boo Berry Flap Jacks Sweet Bakery Dough Frankenberry Pie Crust I've ordered from them before, not sure why they're not one of my regular suppliers ? I guess I get caught up ordering from the same places all the time. Thanks enablers 🀣
  22. Bittercreek has a really nice Mulling Spices fo that I've used for years. I don't get any fuel smell and it works well in paraffin and para-soy waxes. HTH
  23. I mix Aztec's Creme Brulee with their Starbucks Coffee, it's pretty amazing !
