@TallTayl thank you! I thought about putting them in tins, but I was concerned about the oil reacting with the metal. I'm going to try it out just as soon as these guys are done marinating! 😁

RE: putting the scented salts in warmers, do you mean an oil warmer or a wax warmer? Is it safe to assume that I could put a glass jar of scented salts on a candle warmer?

Who is everyone's favourite go - to vendor for fragrance oils? I have been using Lonestar, Candlewic and Candles and Supplies. I'm happy with what I have found but I'm wondering if there are some better/equally as good ones out there. Thanks!

I did a little trial run of it last night. Meh. It frosted about the same as the C3, which I can live with but it cracked and cratered which C3 doesn't do for me. Disappointing but I'll try again at a lower pour temp.

Thanks, Moonshine! That's a bummer on the frosting I was hoping it'd be an improvement on my C3.

I just found out about this wax and ordered some from Lonestar. Has anyone else used it? Any idea on cure time and much it frosts?

I also store mine closed as soon as they are solid.

@TallTayl you are spot on. This one gets so hot, I can barely touch it. I'm using little generic tealight candles from Ikea, so I'm assuming they are paraffin.

I experimented with it yesterday. The Hot Apple Pie from Candlewic and the Strawberry from Candles and Supplies both smoked in the tealight burner when I only had one cube in it. When I added an additional cube, it stopped. I think the melt pool was too low, therefore getting too hot. ?? When I added more wax, I didn't see it anymore. I did try to get a temp reading on it, and it didn't get past 145F. I didn't see the "smoking" issue in the exact same scents on my electric plate warmer, so it's gotta be the tealight burner with minimal wax combo.

Moonstar - do you remember what type of wax was in the melts that did this? or if it was a particular scent?

@Sarah S no, it isn't too cold (68F). I'm thinking it has something to do with it being a tealight burner, like @Moonstar suggested. Now I'm watching the burner and my electric warmer obsessively

Hi all - testing some tarts and I saw what looked like steam or white "smoke" coming from the tealight burner (from Yank** - I got it on sale for $5 to test my melts) I was using. The wax is C3 and the FO was Strawberry from C and S. What is this? In the same burner, I was testing an Apple Pie tart, and got this weird discoloration in the exact same spot over and over after I tried "scooping" it out. This only happened with the Apple Pie. Maybe cinnamon in it burning off?

Thank all of you for the feedback! I guess my biggest concern is the frosting I am getting from my darker colors and the worry that it will turn people off.

I know Target carries them but they are kind of pricey. I'm looking for one, as well, to test my wickless jars on.
