  1. No, The article that I read said that some suppliers had stronger scents tan others and to get advise from seasoned candle makers such as people in this group.
  2. These replys make sense. I was actually reading an article on candle making for beginners, and they mentioned this site/blog. They encouraged to ask questions and this was one the questions. This is why I asked, because sometimes I do notice that some are stronger than others. They were insinuating that some scent makers make them more concentrated. Thanks
  3. I have used a few different scent suppliers, but was wondering who has the strongest scents in your opinion? Thanks
  4. Thank you all for responding. I'm gonna try those Soys.
  5. Thank you for your advise. It really is appreciated. I do feel good about having a product that stands out, but didn't really realize the amount of candle makers out there. I have facebook and twitter, and will look into the Square space. We haven't went to any craft shows or festivals as of yet, but we will get there. The candle lovers I talk to are more into the scents than presentation of the candle.
  6. What sites do you have the best success with? Thanks for the 411. Zig
  7. Do you use USPO or someone else? Some of my candles weigh 2+ pounds in total weight, so the shipping will be a good bit of the cost. Thanks for your advise, and your time.
  8. For those of you that ship your candles: do you ad a cost on to your candle sale price or add shipping at end of sale? Do you split shipping cost with buyer or make them pay total cost? Are there any special rates to look for at the post office? Any advise is appreciated. Thank you!
  9. Thanks, and this might sound stupid but what is COG? I don't know the candle lingo yet.
  10. What is your basic rule of thumb for pricing your candles? Thanks
  11. Thank you! I am looking forward to discussing the industry and learning from y'all.
  12. Nevermind, I found a topic pretaining to this and found out what I was looking for.
  13. Hey Guys, I'm new here but kinda experienced at making candles. My daughter and I are gonna start selling ours and I am confused on weighing them. Do you list total weight or just the wax weight? Thanks! ZIGGY
